Market Operations Manager Overview We are seeking a Market Operations Manager to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will manage the market participation of the companys demand response portfolio in Ireland and Northern Ireland. This is a hands-on, analytical role for someone with significant experience and a strong understanding of the Irish electricity market, ideally including managing capacity contracts and capacity bid preparation. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven individual who understands the Irish electricity policy and regulatory landscape, with strong communication skills and the ability to analyse complex material and communicate it clearly to management and the wider business. The day-to-day role will involve managing interactions with the electricity market operator, transmission system operator, distribution system operator, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful onboarding of additional capacity to the demand response portfolio and the optimal utilisation of existing capacity. Key Responsibilities Market compliance & operations: Manage market registrations, modifications, testing, and all regulatory submissions, ensuring timely market entry, ongoing compliance, and adherence to electricity market timelines and licence obligations. Regulatory & stakeholder engagement: Maintain strong working relationships with regulators, system operators and internal teams, handle day-to-day queries, represent the business at forums, and coordinate cross-functional delivery. Market insight & strategy support: Lead cross-functional analysis and brainstorming to identify opportunities, translate insights into clear commercial recommendations, and advise the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team on market strategy. Internal coordination & reporting: Deliver concise, data-driven reports, presentations and memos to stakeholders, while supporting commercial and operational teams to meet client, installation and volume commitments.
