  • Test Method Validation Specialist

You will lead the following functions within the Quality Team concerning customer and quality requirements to develop Organic Light Emitting Diodes: test method validation/transfer, test method qualification/verification, definition of method LOD/LOQ and system suitability requirements, reference material and standards controls programs, troubleshooting, document management and revision. You will report to the QC Team Leader. Key Responsibilities Lead the creation and development of a comprehensive test method validation/transfer program Serve as the QC single contact between test method transferring and receiving laboratories for test methods associated with new product introduction/transfer and the qualification of any incoming raw materials. Coordinate all laboratory readiness activities for incoming test methods, including training material and SOP creation by partnering with the QC and Analytical development groups, suppliers and other groups. Partner with the Analytical Team and the Product Development Teams to validate/transfer test methods to support new product and raw material introduction. Partner with the Analytical Team and the Product Development Teams to execute assay qualification and verification activities. Manage a program to define the test method (e.g. LOD/LOQ) and system suitability requirements for each test method Qualifications B.S. degree in biological sciences, chemistry, engineering or related field with 5+ years of laboratory experience. Quality Control or Analytical Method Development experience in a highly regulated manufacturing setting, including method transfers and assay qualification/validation. Used High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)/ Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC), techniques.   • Process Development Engineer

    Full Time | Permanent | Shannon, Ireland The Process Development Engineer will play an integral role within the process development engineering team. Responsible for design, development, and scale-up of high vacuum purification processes for emitter and host materials. This role requires technical expertise to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable processes that comply with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability while collaborating cross‑functionally to achieve organizational goals. This role will report to the Sublimation Development Leader and will work onsite at our Shannon, Ireland facility. Key Responsibilities Design, development, and scale‑up of the final stage purification process for emitter and host OLED materials. Processes include annealing, seeded crystallization, high vacuum purification by sublimation/distillation, and optimizing bulk properties such as density through milling methods. Ensure processes are efficient, reliable, scalable, and compliant with EHS standards. Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Construct optimization strategies to enhance performance and increase throughput. Resolve technical issues related to processes, materials, and equipment. Collaborate closely with technicians, chemists, and Operations. Design and conduct experiments to scale process from lab‑scale to pilot and mass production‑scale. Present findings, updates, and recommendations at weekly team meetings. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for process validation, quality control, and regulatory compliance. May require investigating new technology or equipment to overcome technical process/product issues. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or a related science and engineering discipline. Minimum of 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing with a Master’s degree or minimum of 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing with a Bachelor’s level, preferably with a high vacuum process development and scale‑up in a cleanroom or R&D environment. Demonstrated expertise in process development, optimization, and troubleshooting. Six Sigma Certification and/or Design of Experiments (DOE) experience is preferred. Experience using statistical analysis software such as Minitab or JMP is preferred. Knowledge of cleanroom operation and high vacuum equipment. Knowledge of EHS standards and regulatory compliance. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Work Environment This role typically operates in laboratory and cleanroom production environment with adherence to safety protocols. May require occasional travel to other pilot or production sites. The required work schedule is currently 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, consistent with the manufacturing operating schedule. This position will require actions outside of the normal working hours, including occasional weekend support, as necessary. Position will also require travel to the PPG Monroeville, PA facilities for initial training and to interface and collaborate with other process development team members. Travel is expected to be 5–10 %.
