About The role: Design of electrical building services and infrastructure Tendering and Coordination of design activities in conjunction with project design teams. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have minimum Level 8 qualifications in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent such as Energy or Building Services) Chartered Engineer status (or clear pathway towards achieving same) Knowledge Skills & Experience: Strong technical ability in all aspects of Electrical Engineering Services & Design A proven track record of success, ideally in a design consultancy environment Knowledge & experience of current Electrical Design standards Experience in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office Suite Software, and also specialist electrical design software packages (e.g Amtech, Dialux) Experience of client, vendor, and contractor interaction and management. About the Role: We are seeking a number of Resident Engineers Electrical to work on major above and below ground water utility projects helping to deliver important infrastructure for their customers and to ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract documents (works requirements). Key Skills & Attributes: Experienced in the design of Transport projects, including roads, rail, public transport, etc. Experience in Active Travel and Greenway projects. Minimum of 6 years’ experience across design and construction phases. Detailed knowledge of the relevant Irish and/or UK standards, including NTA, TII and DMRB design standards and guidance notes. Experience working on projects at various phases from options, preliminary design, tender design, detailed design, and construction. Experience in liaising with Clients and working with them to achieve the required solutions. Contract Documents experience advantageous, including Bills of Quantities, Specification, Contract Drawings. Ability to prepare 3D models using Civil 3D and be familiar with working in a collaborative Level 2 BIM environment. Experience of working with drainage design software such as MicroDrainage to a high level of competency. Experience in other software such as HEC-RAS, Causeway Flow etc is an advantage. Experience of highway drainage system design, culvert design, attenuation and pollution control design and natural catchment analysis. Strong communication and presentation skills. Qualifications: A Level 8 honours degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Ideally a Level 9 master’s degree in engineering or cognate discipline.
