  • Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

    Senior QA Engineer sought to ensure software quality and functionality across Nomadix platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify issues and meet highest standards before release. Reporting to the Senior Software Development Manager, this role will work on projects across Nomadix to ensure that all of the software used on our platforms is operating according to the relevant specification. The senior QA will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our products across the group by writing and executing test cases based on product or feature requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify issues and ensure our software meets the highest standards before release. Key Responsibilities: Test Case Development: Write, review, and execute test cases based on product or feature requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and senior QA engineers to understand product requirements and design test plans accordingly. End / User Manual Testing: Perform manual testing on various platforms (web, mobile, etc.) to identify bugs, usability issues, and ensure overall product quality. Defect Tracking: Report, track, and validate defects in the defect tracking system, ensuring they are resolved before the product release. Regression Testing: Execute regression tests to ensure that recent changes have not adversely affected existing functionality. Test Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of test cases, test results, and defects. Networking Tests: Conduct basic networking-related tests, such as checking connectivity, IP configurations, and network performance, as part of the QA process. Continuous Improvement: Participate in team meetings to discuss testing strategies, share knowledge, and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes. Collaboration: Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues, and provide feedback on product design and implementation from a QA and networking perspective. Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Provide technical know-how, documentation and training to test and other business functions. Play a central role in adding to our extensive automation capabilities in testing our core platforms. Champion quality as a shared responsibility within a self-organising agile team. Provide feedback into the Development and Product teams. Working with analysts and developers to write test cases for new changes. Organise and manage your test lab. Work in an agile development process. Qualifications & Skills: 5+ years software testing experience throughout all phases of a software testing cycle, including automation experience. Automation and Scripting knowledge, ability to create automated tests utilising frameworks & tools. Good knowledge of databases and SQL knowledge are highly desired. Quality focused with strong attention to detail. Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team. Hands-on experience in agile implementations. Experienced with Atlassian Toolset (JIRA). Knowledge of SDLC tools such as: Jenkins, Rundeck, Gitlab source control. B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field of study required. MS degree desirable. Knowledge of Linux / Networking / security technologies. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. Significant experience in Quality Assurance testing or similar role.
