Assist with the day-to-day operations of the office by overseeing administrative tasks as required, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with internal protocols. Collaborate closely with colleagues across different teams to identify opportunities for joint efforts that enhance service delivery within the broader Healthcare Sector. Handle confidential information responsibly in accordance with strict data security protocols to maintain client trust and comply with regulatory requirements. Support less experienced team members through mentoring, coaching, and supervision where appropriate, fostering a collegial atmosphere of shared learning. Engage confidently with clients on daily issues, demonstrating professionalism and sensitivity at all times while advancing claims towards resolution via negotiation, mediation or hearing. Stay abreast of developments in Health Law by participating in relevant training and keeping up-to-date with changes affecting the sector. Identify and pursue business development opportunities that contribute to the growth of both the team and the wider firm. What you bring: Qualified solicitor registered in Ireland with ideally 3-5 years post-qualification experience specifically within Plaintiff Health Law. Demonstrated expertise in medical negligence cases is essential for success in this position. Experience handling Inquests is advantageous but not mandatory for consideration. Proficiency using alternative forms of dispute resolution such as mediation or negotiation is highly valued. Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong analytical abilities enables effective problem-solving for complex legal issues. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are necessary for building rapport with clients and colleagues alike. A practical approach to legal matters ensures solutions are client-focused rather than purely academic. Ability to operate independently while recognising when collaboration or escalation is needed demonstrates sound judgement. Team-oriented mindset with willingness to mentor or supervise less experienced colleagues contributes positively to group dynamics. Excellent organisational skills allow for methodical progression of claims towards timely resolution.
