Abbott Vascular is a global leader in vascular care, focused on advancing treatment for vascular disease and improving patient outcomes. This role is situated in Clonmel and supports the production of a broad line of vascular devices used to treat heart, carotid, and peripheral vessel diseases.
Purpose of the Job
With general guidance from functional management, a Production Supervisor provides team leadership to a group of employees, driving increased quality and productivity. The supervisor supports the business unit’s demand, identifies and analyzes problems, plans tasks and solutions, guides the team on development and performance, and reports accomplishments to management.
Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday (A/B shift – days and evenings)
Key Responsibilities
Implement a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements and coordinating with Operations Management and Planning Schedulers.
Monitor daily work operations and provide support to team members.
Develop and train the team, assigning progressively more challenging tasks.
Develop feasibility and execute continuous‑improvement projects to improve efficiency or remove waste from the process.
Interact with key stakeholders: Quality, Engineering, Human Resources, Supply Chain, EHS, Operations Management, Finance & Operations Excellence.
Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
Develop work schedules for the department by assessing priorities, workload, and available resources.
Education & Skills
Level 7 qualification (full credits) and related work experience.
Previous people‑management experience is desirable.
