Specifically, the Send to Amazon - STA Platforms (STAP) team is part of the broader Inbound Workflows and Platforms organization. The STAP team owns the user interface platform that enables sellers to inbound products to Amazon. As the owners of this platform, the STAP engineering team is responsible for the codebase, development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and providing on-call support. The team is also accountable for the inbounding workflow built on this platform, which supports a wide range of marketplaces categorized as "Worldwide" (WW). This encompasses the end-to-end engineering and quality assurance for the seller-facing UI on Seller Central. Additionally, the STAP team owns various services that they have inherited over time from other teams. The QA team within STAP specifically owns manual feature and regression testing across multiple initiatives, both within the inbound workflows organization and beyond. Key job responsibilities Design and develop comprehensive test strategies, test plan, automation, and methodologies to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. Collaborate and influence cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and project managers to understand software quality requirements and design effective test strategies. Define release planning and provide input on the readiness of software for production deployment. Work with component teams to identify the pain points in their area and provide technical guidance. Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios for various software components, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing. Identify and document defects, issues, and potential areas of improvement in the software development process. Perform root cause analysis of complex issues and work with the development team to resolve issues and enhance the overall product quality. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA and testing, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve testing processes. Define key metrics for measuring and reporting on the quality of software products and test effectiveness. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of quality assurance engineering experience Experience in automation testing Experience in manual testing Experience scripting or coding Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects 4+ years of delivering test automation, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives experience Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an QAE role Excellent English written and verbal skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality Knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as C++, Java, Objective C Experience in communicating with development teams across all job functions to collect feature design intentions and quality expectations and translate that into test strategy and test plans Experience in partnering with external QA teams on test strategy expectations Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
