    Key deliverables: The successful candidates will work as part of the factory processing team producing meat to fulfil production targets on a daily and weekly basis. Successful candidates will be required to work in all areas of the factory where they will be required to: Work as part of a team. Meet production targets. Work across all areas of the meat processing plant. Perform a physical role including lifting and standing, you will need to be able to work on your feet for long periods of time and possess the ability to handle bulk orders. Refer to work orders to determine amount and type of meat to be processed Calibrate food processing machines and ensure that they are set at correct speeds for each processing procedure Make use of scales to weigh meat before and after each process and ensure that each stage is documented for reference purposes Pack cleaned and processed meat into appropriate packaging, ensuring that it is cover properly with plastic wraps Create or acquire labels for each packet by ensuring that type, date of expiry and weight is mentioned on them Conduct metal detection checks on all produce Inspect packed meat products for any conformity problems and ensure that any non-conformance products are isolated or discarded The Candidate, must have / be able to Handle and move heavy, large loads, using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things. Perform General Physical Activities Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Be able to understand, communicate and engage in your work with high attention to detail. Work as part of a team to ensure your own and others safely. To adhere to all legal, regulatory, company site requirements. Training As a meat production worker, you will be required to possess knowledge of sanitation procedures in relation to raw food items. Metal detection training Manual Handling Training Depending on what type of machines or equipment you have to work on, you will be trained to set and regulate controls and handle packing duties according to set standards and procedures, this includes but is not limited to:- Meat wrapping machinery - Package wrapping machines; Shrink wrap meat packing machines, conveyor belt systems, label printers, weighing scales, Blast chillers etc Training in English language skills, company operating procedures will be provided. You may be working for extended periods of time in cold/chilled areas and you will be responsible for making sure the meat products are processed and packed to meet the food safety and quality standards required.
