The main role of this job is to process payments received for patients’ invoices. These payments are collected in various ways—through the online/hospital website, directly into the bank account, via private insurers, and by cheque. All payments must be receipted, and receipts issued, in an efficient and timely manner. Good communication skills are required, as the cashier will liaise daily with the Patient Accounts Department and occasionally with patients and private insurers.
