  • This role will involve meeting and greeting customers and guests in a polite, friendly and inviting manner. The role will ensure that meeting rooms are set up correctly and correct audio-visual equipment is working correctly as required by our guests. The role will involve setting function rooms for conferences and events and assisting in the serving and clearing after these events. The individual will be responsible for assisting guests with luggage to and from their bedrooms as well as assisting other departments within the hotel as required. This is a role that will involve working 5 out of 7 shifts covering both weekends and during the week.   • The Slieve Russell Hotel are currently recruiting for a restaurant cashier/waiter to join our Conall Cearnach restaurant. The Slieve Russell Hotel is Located in Co. Cavan, just 90 minutes from Dublin and provides luxury award winning 4* hotel accommodation. The Hotel is set on 300 acres of land, including 50 acres of lakes, an 18-hole championship golf course, a par 3 Academy Golf Course, a superb leisure centre, a state-of-the-art conference centre and an award-winning luxury Spa. The role will involve servicing departure rooms, stay over rooms, cleaning of corridors and occasionally cleaning in other areas of the hotel. The role will involve: Take customer orders accurately to ensure orders are processed correctly To work closely with the kitchen department to ensure standards are met. Serve and clear food and drink to guests following correct procedures. Whilst on duty to be conscious of costs control in your area in particular to spillage and breakage's and report same to the Manager / Supervisor To assist the Manager in stocktakes as required. To ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in your area of work. To have a full knowledge of all products in the department and a general knowledge of all hotel facilities and opening hours. To act responsibly with regard to all hotel property including, condition, cleanliness and storage. To assist the Manager in maximising revenue through promotions, new products and special offers To be responsible that all charges are posted accurately to the appropriate room, and to ensure that all payments / room numbers are received. To be responsible for balancing all reports / machines / cash at the end of your shift. The ensure billing is done to the agreed standard and to liaise with accounts to alleviate problems.
