    Project Planner – Complex Infrastructure Location: Dublin or Galway - Republic of Ireland Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time About the Role: On behalf of our client, a globally recognised engineering and design consultancy, we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Planner to join their Complex Infrastructure team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects across transportation, urban development, and critical infrastructure sectors. As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, monitoring progress, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives. Key Responsibilities: Schedule Development: Prepare and maintain baseline project schedules, defining work breakdown structures (WBS), identifying critical paths, and establishing key milestones. Interactive Planning: Lead planning workshops, applying industry best practices and benchmarking data to create robust and achievable schedules. Progress Monitoring: Track and validate work progress, updating schedules in line with actual performance. Variance Analysis: Identify and report on schedule variances, including earned value, schedule performance index (SPI), and cost performance index (CPI). Resource Management: Collaborate with project teams to define and manage resource requirements, ensuring consistency with cost control objectives. Reporting & Communication: Produce and present detailed project reports, trending charts, and schedule analyses, providing clear and actionable insights to stakeholders. Skills & Experience Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , particularly Excel. Demonstrable experience using Primavera P6 or equivalent project planning software. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies , including critical path method (CPM) and earned value management (EVM). Experience in infrastructure projects, particularly within the transportation, urban development, or critical infrastructure sectors. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate project performance data. Strong communication and presentation abilities, with experience engaging with stakeholders. Extensive knowledge and experience in bridge design, inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation. Proficient in Eurocodes and structural analysis software (MIDAS Civil or LUSAS). Experience in the design and refurbishment of concrete, steel, and masonry structures. Proven experience working within multidisciplinary teams. Ireland and/or UK experience. One of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Highways & Transportation division in their Dublin office. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of major infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing designs and plans, and maintaining high-quality project deliverables. Coordinate and oversee team deliverables on multidisciplinary projects. Make technical decisions and review technical reports prepared by others. Ensure compliance and suitability of deliverables with overall project scope. Manage the design and planning processes. Prepare internal and external project progress reports. Develop and update project development plans and charters. Chair and minute meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teams. Maintain high-quality standards across all project phases. Relevant consultancy experience, with expertise in multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in Ireland. Chartered or close to achieving Chartership would be advantageous. Proven ability to manage the full project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, preliminary design, planning, detailed design, and contract administration. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project (or similar scheduling tools). Strong technical design and writing skills, with excellent attention to detail. Capability to coordinate multiple teams and deliverables across various projects. Full driving licence.
