    Skilled Labourer

    We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced plasterer or skilled labourer with plastering experience to join one of Ireland's leading home energy retrofit and renewable energy companies. This position offers a very nice brand of work and tasks and is a great opportunity to move into the rapidly growing sector of home energy efficiency and renewables. Flexibility is required and the successful candidate must be willing to work in a variety of roles but mainly in the installation of insulation and ventilation systems as well as various construction tasks. The successful candidate would have a strong plastering background and be able to effectively skimcoat walls and ceilings, apply sand/cement to walls, patch walls into existing plasters and carry out general plastering tasks to a very high standard. Ideally, the candidate would have experience in acrylic rendering and/or monocouche. The candidate must be able to show evidence of his/her ability in whatever field they claim to have expertise in. Roles will include: Plastering sand/cement walls inside and outside. Fitting plaster beads inside and outside, straight and true and to match with existing walls and beads. Skimcoat plastering including patching access holes and matching into existing walls and ceilings. External rendering including acrylic, silicone and monocouche renders (training provided). Fitting external and internal wall insulation, attic and roof insulation and other insulations. Fitting airtightness membranes, tapes and other solutions. Fitting ventilation systems and products. General construction tasks according to project requirements. Delivering consistently high standards, on time. Representing Comfort Solutions Ireland in a positive manner. The successful candidate will have his/her own basic tools and be willing to travel to various sites around Connacht (mostly Mayo) for 8am each morning. The candidates must be reliable, honest, trustworthy and represent Comfort Solutions Retrofit in the best way they can. Excellent and varied construction experience is available to the successful candidate in the exciting and interesting world of energy retrofit and renewable energy. Skill requirements General plastering and rendering Keen and able to carry out manual labour tasks. Exceptional attention to detail. Good interpersonal skills. Excellent presentation skills. Ability to work on one's own. Previous construction experience (3 years). Ideally, a trade background or experience. Current Safe Pass Certificate. Current Manual Handling and Abrasive Wheels Certificates. Candidates with a plastering qualification will be at a distinct advantage. Full training will be provided for all aspects of the role. Flexibility is required to meet deadlines but working hours will be fully accounted for and paid in full.
