Job Title: HGV Driver & Trainer Location: Dublin Full-time: Permanent Salary: €22.93 Job Summary: The Customer Service Driver & Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for new and existing drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant driving practices. The Trainer will also carry out deliveries when assessments are not scheduled, demonstrating best practices and maintaining operational standards. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Develop, plan, and deliver driver training sessions covering safety protocols, company policies, and operational procedures. Assess driver skills and competencies through practical evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Conduct on-road assessments to ensure drivers meet safety and performance standards. Carry out deliveries as needed when no training or assessments are scheduled, demonstrating proper driving techniques and customer service. Maintain accurate records of training activities, assessments, and delivery logs. Stay updated on transportation regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance. Collaborate with the logistics team to identify training needs and improve driver performance. Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement among drivers. Note: The Driver Trainer will be expected to perform deliveries when not engaged in training or assessment activities to support operational efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities: Goods In Answering Incoming calls from Suppliers & providing assistance where necessary, allocating appointments to Suppliers. Enter all appointments made onto the JDA system. Co-ordinating with Suppliers / S.T.I on their arrival at the DC, advising on any delays, dealing with discrepancies between Purchase Orders and Goods Received Notes. Run the outstanding purchase orders report checking and reporting all non-arrivals, non-bookings, shortages, potentials and negative reports liaising with DC stock team, product supply , transport , STI & third party hauliers Inform QA of any rejections, damages, Use by Date issues or miss-rotated product delivered to the DC by the Supplier. JDA Administration In consultation with Shift Management run waves in the 1st instance within JBA then repeated in Win-Inventory. Monitor status of loading / closing of loads to make sure all are completed. Check pix transaction’s for completed loads in consultation with Transport Management that all invoices have been released. Stock Duties Keep standards to DQMP standard Ensure the admin team maintains the daily out of stock report ready to be audited by the DC stock team. Management Reporting Run any reports requested by Stock and/or Admin Managers and Warehouse Shift Management team Communication Carry out effective shift handover with outgoing / incoming goods in clerk. Attend department briefings a required. Transport Administration Facilitate the day to day administration duties within the department/team supporting the driver de-brief company process as required Generate outbound invoices to all customers on a daily basis ensuring all store orders are accurate, self- audited to meet customer & company expectations. General Cover for stock admin clerk duties as required. Any reasonable request as directed by Stock – Admin / Warehouse management.
