You should have a good understanding of electricity and gas markets, and a desire to know and understand more about how our customers consume energy and how wholesale and retail energy markets will develop in the future. Key Responsibilities Exposure Monitoring: tracking fixed price and variable price customers across all Yuno Books, commercial and residential gas and electricity. Ensuring consistency between systems of record and customer number and demand assumptions. Calculation and checking of associated electricity, gas, carbon and environmental certificate exposures. Ensuring the approved hedge strategy is being adhered to. Market Analysis: Tracking the market, using existing tools and developing new tools to improve in-house forecasts and analysis of wholesale commodity movements and projections to inform better trading decisions and strategies. Forward Trade Execution: Executing forward trades in the following products, electricity, gas, carbon and environmental certificates. Seek appropriate approval prior to trade execution, based on approved trading strategy, monitor market behaviour and sentiment to optimise hedge execution timing. Flex Trades on behalf of commercial flex customers. Maintain good relationships with brokers and counterparties. Ensure collateral is in place to trade ahead of trading windows.
