As part of this expansion, we are looking for an ambitious energy pricing analyst to join our team of energy and commodity market experts. The team fosters a strong spirit of collaboration, continuous development, and excellence. Our work is heavily data-based; therefore, you should have a third-level degree in a quantitative subject such as engineering, mathematics, finance/economics, or the sciences. At least 2-4 years' work experience in the industry is desired for the role, with any gas and electricity pricing or trading experience being highly advantageous. You should have knowledge of how to build up a residential 24hr or Day Night electricity tariff from its costs of sale components and understand what drives the profitability of residential tariffs. You should be aware of the competitive landscape in the retail electricity and gas markets and have a broad understanding of the wider energy commodity risk environment. Key Responsibilities Lead/Support the production of residential electricity, gas, and heat prices and tariffs Conduct competitor analysis and help us understand the market we operate in Work with our hedging team to manage and report on price risk Assist in the day to day trading activities of the company by training as a member of our trading team Work with management to produce board reports on our commercial activities and exposures Produce tools to help automate new or existing business processes Report activities or findings in a concise and transparent manner Assist in the provision of market insights to our customer base Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Previous experience in electricity pricing in the Irish retail market and the ability to build up a 24hr residential tariff from first principles is essential Be resourceful and proactive.
