Description As a Credit Control Manager, you will be responsible for managing the credit control team and ensuring the efficient and effective collection of outstanding debts from customers. You will develop and implement credit control strategies and policies, monitor the creditworthiness of customers, and make decisions regarding credit limits and payment terms. Additionally, you will analyze and report on the credit control function, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. Key Responsibilities Manage the credit control team, providing leadership, guidance, and support. Develop and implement credit control strategies and policies to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts. Monitor the creditworthiness of customers and make decisions regarding credit limits and payment terms. Proactively identify and resolve credit control issues and escalate them when necessary. Perform regular credit risk assessments and provide recommendations to senior management. Analyze and report on the credit control function, including debtor days, aging reports, and bad debt provisions. Ensure compliance with credit control regulations and guidelines. Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales and Finance, to improve credit control processes and resolve customer disputes. Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (preferred but not always required). Proven experience as a Credit Controller, Debt Collector, or in a related role. Strong knowledge of credit management and collection procedures. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work well under pressure and handle difficult conversations. Strong organisational and time management skills. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel). Key Requirements Ideal candidates will: Expect to achieve at least a 2.1 in accountancy or a business related degree; Have obtained 420+ points at Leaving Cert level (or equivalent); Be motivated and able to work both as part of a team and independently; Possess strong communication and English language skills; Be enthusiastic about both developing their career; Endeavour to continually improve their skills and knowledge.
