We specialize in designing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining water treatment solutions to meet our clients' specific needs. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions that prioritize safety, reliability, and environmental sustainability. Whitewater Group is headquartered in Naas Co. Kildare and operates from European bases in Spain, Sweden, Finland, and the UK, with plans for further offices in Germany, Denmark, and Italy. The Group is experiencing significant growth driven by its focus on off-site construction methods (OSM) for delivering turnkey projects, reducing on-site construction time to a minimum. About the Role As Whitewater Group continues to scale across multiple international markets, we are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to take full ownership of the commercial function across our project portfolio in Ireland, Nordics and US contracts. This is a leadership role where you will build, manage, and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors. You will be the commercial backbone of our delivery operation: ensuring every project is contracted and estimated correctly, every variation is captured and recovered, and every member of your team is performing to the highest standard. The right person for this role is someone who has done it before — experienced, organised, comfortable with large numbers, and equally comfortable managing people as they are managing contracts. Main Duties and Responsibilities Lead and manage the commercial team across the full project lifecycle, from contract award through to final account. Ensure contracts are aligned with estimates and that all variations are identified, valued, and recovered. Oversee procurement strategy and subcontractor package letting; negotiate contracts while maintaining quality and programme. Administer main and subcontracts, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of all commercial matters. Prepare and report monthly cost/value reconciliations, forecasts, and cashflows to senior leadership. Manage progress payments, change control, and commercial risk across the portfolio. Provide commercial input into value engineering, risk management, and project delivery decisions. Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and delivery partners. Required Qualifications and Experience 10+ years in quantity surveying or commercial management, with a track record in a senior leadership role. Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. Proven experience managing a QS team — leading a commercial team is essential for this role. Strong command of contract administration, variation recovery, CVR, cashflow forecasting, and final accounts. Background in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering and construction sectors strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients, contractors, and senior stakeholders. Fluent English; additional European languages an advantage. Minimum 3 days per week in the Naas or Clonmel office; international travel approximately one week per month. Competitive salary package, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Clear career progression opportunities within a growing and dynamic organisation. Exposure to a diverse portfolio of complex and high-impact international engineering projects. Life Cover and Pension Scheme. Access to ongoing internal training and professional development programs. Opportunity to work within multicultural teams across global projects and environments. Supportive and collaborative work environment that fosters innovation and knowledge sharing. Involvement in technically challenging projects that encourage continuous learning and growth. #J-18808-Ljbffr
