The role supports safe, high-quality care delivery by embedding best practice, maintaining regulatory readiness, and proactively managing compliance risks across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance Ensure ongoing compliance with HSE requirements, and all applicable Irish health and social care legislation and prepare for HIQA standards. Act as the main point of contact for regulators, commissioners, and external auditors. Prepare for, support, and manage regulatory inspections, audits, and reviews. Monitor changes in legislation, standards, and guidance and ensure timely implementation across the service. Policies, Procedures & Governance Develop, review, and maintain policies, procedures, and governance frameworks aligned with regulatory and professional standards. Ensure policies are implemented effectively and embedded in day-to-day practice. Maintain accurate compliance documentation, records, and evidence for inspection readiness. Quality Assurance & Auditing Plan and carry out internal audits, quality reviews, and compliance checks. Analyse findings, identify risks and trends, and implement corrective and preventative action plans. Oversee incident management, complaints, safeguarding concerns, and notifiable events, ensuring appropriate reporting and learning.
