SCOPE: Provide technical application assistance within the company and externally to End Users and Distributors as well as review application details on orders and inquiries. This role is based onsite, with hybrid flexibility and the expectation of travel when necessary. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide pump application, selection and troubleshooting assistance to Distributors, End Users, Internal Sales, and External Sales personnel where a high degree of expertise is required. Prepare quotations for Outside Sales Members and Customers based upon application parameters. Prepare 2D and 3D technical drawings for fulfilment of projects and as required. Provide troubleshooting assistance to Distributors, End Users, Internal & External Sales Personnel. Responsible for Product Data Management – maintenance of ERP system Item Records, including creation of SKUs, BOMs, Routings. Assist Procurement with technical support and any other information required to process customer contracts. Serve as a key technical liaison within the company. Work with Production to prepare Certified Test reports, as required. Assist with the preparation of training materials and participate in technical training programs. (May be the sole presenter in offsite training programs). This would include basic seminars, new product training, End User training. Assist in preparation of published technical documents such as Technical Service Manuals and white papers covering product and process descriptions. Participate in NPD as required. Contribute overall customer experience excellence to drive business growth through strong relationships. Additional duties, as assigned, to support the business needs. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: BEng Degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering / Industrial Technology Degree. Experience in a field relating to liquid handling or rotating equipment desirable. Experience in 3D Cad Package, Solidworks or similar. OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Must have good organisational abilities. Must work well in a team environment. Must maintain internal and external customer relationships. Must possess good diagnostic/troubleshooting abilities. Must be self-motivated. COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with CRM, JDE, SolidWorks and pump selection tools is a plus. WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS: Experience within an office environment and manufacturing complex and the performance of general office functions. ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and all levels of corporate and company personnel. SCOPE A Pump Assembler with IDEX Pump Technologies (Ireland) Ltd. will utilise a full range of fitting / assembly skills in the daily production of IDEX Pump Technologies Positive Displacement Rotary Gear pumps including testing and painting. Working as part of a small team, the pump assembler assembles a range of components or parts, into finished goods ensuring required standards of quality are met. Finished goods are then tested according to the required specification and finally painted to a specified finish. The pump assembler will also provide support, as required, in other operational areas including warehousing and shipping. Primary Function Working to strict safety and quality requirements, help to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations and requirements, optimising efficiency and maintaining operational excellence. Perform many operations within the overall process with some supervision. Primary Duties And Responsibilities Assembly of the full range of Viking Positive Displacement Rotary Gear pumps. Operate production / assembly equipment such as hoists, lifts, and air tools. Kit and assemble parts or components and sub-assemblies into finished mechanical products using a variety of tools and equipment (hand tools – wrenches, hex keys, air tools etc.). Complete Skid assemblies consisting of pumps and drive equipment (electric/air motors with mechanical or magnetic drive couplings). Cut and shape pump protective guards, as required. Carry out product testing (performance or hydrostatic) and quality checks as per company requirements. Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation (refer to product drawings and interpret as required). Finish products such as applying protective coatings (paints and/or rust inhibitors). Ensure products are to the correct tolerances and meet customer and internal standards and specifications. Reading, interpreting, and following basic blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials, written instructions, and diagrams to assemble products, mechanical seals, and equipment. Repairs – Inspect customer returned pumps and complete repair assemblies to customer orders. Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance and housekeeping of work areas and machinery (spray booth, lifts, hoists, hydraulic press, industrial parts washer, electric floor cleaner etc.). Report equipment faults to management. Set and operate hand-controlled machines (pump test-rig, pressure testing equipment, manual hydraulic press). Other duties, as needed/required to provide support for shipping/logistics and warehousing including picking and packing goods and general warehousing tasks. Standard Work and process improvements – Appraise and assist in the development of our processes and the Standard Work Instructions for assembly and other operational processes. Conform to the Companies Quality & Environmental System. Adhere to IDEX policies. Ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with Company Health & Safety procedures.
