Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role will support the delivery of food safety, quality and compliance standards across production. You will also act as Deputy Management Representative, helping ensure compliance with standards including BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 9, Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA), Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and organic certification requirements. What your day to day will look like: Monitor production processes to ensure food safety, quality and compliance standards are met. Support the implementation and maintenance of the site HACCP and Quality Management System. Carry out quality checks including weight control, metal detection, temperature monitoring and product labelling verification. Ensure accurate completion of production and traceability documentation. Deliver training to production staff on SOPs, CPs and CCPs. Conduct hygiene, housekeeping and process audits across the facility. Support preparation for customer, regulatory and third-party audits.     Vickerstock in partnership with a leading food manufacturing company are recruiting for a Quality Controller This is a full-time, primarily site-based role for a Quality Control Technician, reporting directly to the Technical Manager. The position is mainly based in Co. Monaghan, however the successful candidate will be required to support other company sites as and when required. The role requires an energetic and dynamic individual who will work closely with production teams to ensure that both product and processes are compliant with company specifications, statutory obligations, and customer requirements. The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day quality activities while assisting in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System. Hours of Work: Typically 6:00am 3:00pm. Some days may require working 8:30am 5:30pm depending on operational requirements. Responsibilities: Conduct routine quality control checks including: Raw material testing Finished product inspections Weight verification Label verification Temperature monitoring Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety legislation, and customer specifications. Support the identification of non-conformances and assist in implementing corrective and preventative actions. Conduct regular hygiene and GMP audits across production areas.
