This role offers a variety of experience, strong support and training to the right candidate and a vibrant environment to work in. Your roles and responsibilities as a Maintenance Fitter: Maintenance planning: plan the scope of work required, ensure all spares are in stock and available, organise external vendors. Preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production lines and plant equipment. Continuous improvement of production processes equipment, by identifying and implementing improvement projects to improve the operating effectiveness of equipment. Project Lead/Supervisor on plant upgrade projects/customer projects. Identify opportunities and/or solutions to add additional value to plant/customers by identifying performance constraints. Assist with training of machine operators on machine set up, fault correction, adjustments. When a fault is detected, take action based on your best judgment on whether to effect immediate repair or not. Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies. As a Maintenance Fitter, ideally you will have: Trades Qualified Mechanical with electrical knowledge. Experience within a maintenance environment. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Your new role: The successful Engineering Stores Person will undertake the day to day running of their Engineering Stores. You will provide oversight and ensure parts are in stock and available to minimize downtime on the Production Floor. Your duties and responsibilities: The Engineering Stores Person will be responsible for the following duties within the role: Maintaining correct stock levels using part history and Min/Max levels to ensure correct stock quantities are ordered. Tracking critical/urgent deliveries with suppliers. Maintaining a clean and tidy stores / general warehouse duties. Conduct daily cycle counting/stock takes & maintain accurate records of parts held in stores. Identifying parts to correct specification & resourcing these parts from alternative suppliers to reduce costs. Receiving of parts which includes verifying accuracy & quality of parts received, receipt of goods and safe storage of incoming parts in their appropriate store locations. Checking for damaged or missing items on deliveries. Return & track damaged deliveries to suppliers for replacement. Return & tracking of failed parts under warranty to suppliers for warranty replacement. Process requests for parts & ordering of parts with suppliers from quotations received. Achieve & record all savings made through resourcing and replenishment of stock. Ensure the stores are clear and any potential hazards are dealt with quickly and efficiently. Dealing with suppliers to place orders and query/resolve issues with any deliveries and invoices. Organise & optimize warehouse space to ensure safe & efficient storage of parts. What you will need to succeed: The Engineering Stores Person must be able to demonstrate the following: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role. Possesses a strong understanding and application of forecasting principles, concepts, and practices. Experience using a CMMS system with knowledge of FIFO & Min/Max. Ensure all orders are placed and received in a timely manner. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritise and work accurately and efficiently in a busy working environment. High attention to detail. Excellent written & verbal skills.
