What you’ll be doing… You’ll be leading the sourcing process for an IT Category within the IT Sourcing Department, where we spend more than five hundred million dollars per year. While guiding your internal business clients through the acquisition process, you’ll be identifying potential suppliers, reviewing & drafting requirements and agreements, analyzing qualifications, negotiating deals, identifying savings opportunities and monitoring supplier performance. Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: Plan and propose sourcing strategies that best support business needs. Create, update and present the Category Strategy. Perform market analyses to find potential new suppliers. Negotiate commercial terms for commercial agreements and renewals (Master License agreements, Cloud agreements, SOWs, Order Forms etc.) Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Handle the sourcing process, ensuring that it aligns with our policies. Work cross-functionally to document requirements, build RFx’s, conduct negotiations for renewal or new agreement and identify savings opportunities. Lead various cross functional teams to develop Verizon's requirements and reach consensus on commercial approach. Work closely with Legal counsel, Contract Manager, Tax, Business Clients, Vendor Management Teams, Risk Management, Corporate Security and other policy subject matter experts to establish new or renewal of agreements with Suppliers. Present and update key deal briefings to the Leadership team for new contracts and renewals. Validate that suppliers are upholding contract terms and conditions. What we’re looking for... As our Associate Director of Indirect Sourcing, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Category Strategy. Verizon’s Supply Chain Services team is transforming the Global Strategic Sourcing Group and seeks dynamic professionals who are interested in joining our team. Verizon seeks a professional with experience in Contract Development in areas such as Professional Services, Finance Operations, HR/Benefits, Events & Travel, BPO, Contact Centers, Workforce Solutions, as well as categories directly related to Verizon operations (Network, Tech Services, IT, and Devices & Accessories). The Contract Manager (CM) position is responsible for contract development and management of all contractual documents, working in partnership with the Sourcing Specialist, Suppliers, internal Business and Legal Departments to negotiate and develop robust legal and commercial terms and conditions with Verizon’s Suppliers. The CM acts as an advisor and/or expert for contract related issues and must apply critical thinking skills and work independently to make sound business decisions on behalf of the Company. Day to day work of the CM requires significant interpretation of diverse contractual issues as well as the ability to identify any potential risk factors in that the business needs to consider for the execution of the Agreement. The role also requires ongoing contract compliance and issue resolution as needed after contract execution. The CM also works closely with Internal Audit, as necessary, and Supplier's auditors to resolve contract compliance issues. Contract Development: In accordance with Verizon's priorities, review Supplier requests for changes to the terms and conditions of contracts, assess risk of implementing changes, and recommend Verizon's response. Ensure that applicable contract documents (amendments, SOWs, template provisions) comply with established Verizon format. Act as the liaison and coordinate the interests of the Sourcing Specialist, Business Partner, Legal and Supplier. Coordinate with Verizon Legal support to negotiate contract issue resolution with Supplier, and secure final approval of the appropriate Agreement. Work collaboratively with Sourcing Specialist to ensure that all contract document templates are properly prepared for Request for Proposal (RFPs). Resolve and respond to contractual related Supplier issues and/or questions. Coordinate and manage high-volume EOY / EOQ renewals using agreed-upon templates. Meet with Legal counsel to clarify and negotiate Sourcing contractual issues and or other Supplier concerns. Interpret contractual rights and obligations to business partner and Sourcing Specialist. Contract Compliance: Ensure that current Verizon standard language, including updated terms and conditions, is included in all contracts, as appropriate. The Associate Director Contract Manager (CM) will report to the Director, Contract Management and will be responsible for managing a team of CMs who coordinate the contract drafting and negotiations aligned primarily with Verizon's indirect Sourcing categories, including Professional Services, Contact Centers, HR/Benefits, Financial Operations, Travel / Events, BPO, Workforce Solutions, Real Estate / Supply Chain. The CM Assoc. Director will also oversee contract development and management of contractual documents, working in partnership with the Category Sourcing Expert, key Verizon suppliers, internal Business and Legal Departments. The CM acts as an advisor and/or expert for contract related issues and must apply critical thinking skills and work independently to make sound business decisions on behalf of the Company. Day to day work of the CM requires significant interpretation of diverse contractual issues as well as the ability to identify any potential risk factors in which the business needs to consider for the execution of the Agreement. Ongoing contract compliance and issue resolution as needed after contract execution. The CM also works closely with Internal Audit as necessary and Supplier's auditors to resolve contract compliance issues. Contract Development: In accordance with Verizon's priorities, review Supplier requests for changes to the terms and conditions of contracts, assess risk of implementing changes, and recommend Verizon's response Provide leadership in drafting and negotiating terms & conditions with Suppliers Act as the liaison and provide leadership among Sourcing Specialist, Business Partner, Legal and Supplier Coordinate with Verizon Legal support to negotiate contract issue resolution with Supplier, and secure final approval of the appropriate Agreement Work collaboratively with Sourcing Specialist to ensure that all contract document templates are properly prepared for Request for Proposal (RFPs) Resolve and respond to contractual related Supplier issues and/or questions Meet with Legal counsel to clarify and negotiate complex Sourcing contractual issues and or other Supplier concerns. Interpret contractual rights and obligations to business partner and Sourcing Specialist Contract Compliance: Ensure that current Verizon standard language, including updated terms and conditions, is added to all contracts, as appropriate Manage supplier dispute resolution through formal or informal dispute resolution channels Review and interpret Sourcing and Corporate Policy requirements Responsible for consultation and escalation to senior management of current and potential issues. Verizon’s Services seeks a dynamic professional in Roaming who is interested in joining our team. This Strategic Planning Roaming Negotiator position will play a lead role in supporting Verizon's mobile subscribers and IoT (Internet of Things) businesses through the creation of contracts which optimize expenses and maximize revenue generation opportunities, ultimately growing margin and shareholder value. In addition, this position will play a critical role in representing Verizon’s commercial and technical position in industry forums such as the GSMA. A key aspect of the Roaming role is building collaborative relationships with our internal business partners and strategic relationships with our suppliers. The Business Development and Strategic Planning Manager will actively manage multiple time-sensitive requests, effectively interface with all levels of management while ensuring the sourcing process is completed consistent with Verizon policies and goals. The Business Development and Strategic Planning Manager is accountable for the overall relationship with International Wireless Operators (Mobile Network Operators - MNOs). The key focus will be negotiating new roaming, permanent roaming and outbound eUICC agreements; international roaming customer experience; roaming cost structure, and creating opportunities for inbound roaming revenue. Success in this position will require a proactive leader with strong analytical and negotiating skills, exceptional stakeholder awareness and engagement, and a mix of strategic and tactical thinking. Responsibilities: Develop a strategic plan for the MNO partners in your region over a multi-year time horizon, collaborating with internal stakeholders and MNO partners to bridge the gap between strategy and execution of that plan. Negotiate commercial terms of roaming, permanent roaming and outbound eUICC agreements (new and amendments to existing agreements), including establishing relationships with Roaming Contacts at other MNOs. Contract administration, including working closely with legal counsel to create and amend contracts consistent with business principles agreed to between the operators. Relationship management, including resolving commercial issues which will require partnership with technical, marketing and finance organizations (e.g. network, operations, revenue assurance, finance, marketing), including driving projects to completion. Identify contract improvements, simplifications and optimization opportunities to drive better outcomes, including contacting frameworks. Manage supplier relationships, effectively maintaining positive and ethical working relationships. Proactively engage to assess and drive expense mitigation actions, such as Steering of Roaming and coverage planning. Be a trusted partner and SME related to international roaming to the enterprise (VCG, VBG and Corporate). Understand Verizon’s position regarding 5G and IoT as it pertains to commercial and technology requirements, and represent Verizon’s position at industry forums, such as the GSMA. The Business Development and Strategic Planning Manager will be expected to formulate pricing recommendations designed to preserve/improve Verizon competitiveness while protecting profitability. This may require financial analysis and/or business case development of alternative scenarios and recommendations to management, including creating concise decks/presentations for review with senior management.
