Electrical Instrumentation Technician Location: Midlands/South Region - mobile role Duration: Permanent Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm Overview of the Role The Technician is responsible for responding to day‑to‑day issues that occur on sites, carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance on equipment with minor project work and to provide support to the Maintenance manager. Day to Day of the Role Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions and to comply with safety rules, procedures, regulations and codes of practice. Investigate operational issues / system defects to determine the source of the failure and the most appropriate corrective action in order to safely return an item back to operational service. Liaise with and oversee contractors on site to monitor their activities, ensuring safety, compliance and quality of work is maintained at all times. Perform routine testing and servicing of operational equipment across all sites, ensuring traceability by recording the test results in the Computer Based Maintenance Management System. Carry out inspection and servicing of instrumentation & electrical equipment, providing reports and recommendations. Train and mentor apprentices and other members of the Engineering team as required. Complete all identified and relevant training requirements to meet company and legislative and standards and undertake training in other related activities to develop multi‑skilling capabilities. Ideally a minimum 3‑5 years' experience in maintenance and calibration of processing plants/equipment, preferably within the water and wastewater industry which includes installation and maintenance of electrical instrumentation systems. Electrical technical knowledge is mandatory. Ability to work as part of a team and lone working. Required Skills for the Role Experience in similar roles and responsibilities. Electrical trade or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering and instrumentation. Experience as an electrical / instrumentation / control technician or engineer. Experience working in a water treatment / wastewater treatment / process plant. Experience with SCADA/DCS/PLCs/Hard wired control systems / industrial electrics. Construction Site Manager Location: Cavan Area Duration: Permanent Weekly Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm Overview of the role This is a Construction Site Manager within the Water/Waste Water Industry. The role involves leading the construction team and subcontractors on site, ensuring the health and safety of site personnel is a top priority. The role will interact with Veolia Design and Project Management Teams, clients, contractors and sub‑contractors. You will work in a supportive, friendly and challenging environment on exciting projects while learning from a diverse team of talented people and leading experts. You'll be provided with the freedom to push boundaries and continually develop your skill set across a wide range of sectors, including industrial, pharmaceutical, healthcare and municipal. This is a regional based position; the incumbent may need to travel to other Veolia sites, plants and offices throughout Ireland. Due to continued success and growth across the Water division, we are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join the ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) Team as a Project Manager(Design Coordination). The successful candidate will work on a wide scope of Water and Wastewater Treatment projects across the Island of Ireland. The Early Contractor Involvement is a new form of delivery for Water Infrastructure made up of two stages – Project Commencement Instruction (PCI) and Project Delivery Instruction (PDI). PCI is the early design from environmental, planning and detailed design with the aim being to agree a project scope and target cost. PDI stage is the delivery of the agreed scope to the target cost with a pain/gain share mechanism.
