Mechanical Technician Location: Grangecastle Duration: Permanent 39 Hours per week Overview of the role: The successful candidate will work in a pharmaceutical environment, as part of a team of day technicians. There is no shift work involved with this role Day to day of the role: Work as part of the utilities team and plan work activities in line with maintenance and Process schedule Assist in commissioning activities, Project support and Equipment Vendor Maintenance. Work with the Utilities Department and Engineering Department to plan and schedule the required Maintenance activities Manage and support service or equipment vendors when undertaking Maintenance as required to ensure that applicable standards are adhered to. Liaise with discipline leads to coordinate activities for efficient execution of Maintenance activities. Ensure all PTW and mechanical isolations are in place to perform maintenance works related to mechanical Utilities. Develop cost saving and energy reduction initiatives on utilities systems Updating GMP maintenance documents and drawings to reflect any changes required and to improve operation of maintenance activities. Conduct corrective and preventative maintenance on all operational equipment Proactively solve to ensure that operational issues are solved permanently. Ensure corrective action is taken, as required, for all equipment and operational problems to drive continuous improvement in the Plant. Plan and develop maintenance plans where required Operate and Maintain utility systems Respond to any request from operations for utility related issues Required skills for success in this role: Apprenticeship or 3rd Level qualification with Mechanical Experience Minimum of 3 years' experience in Mechanical utilities or process maintenance. Must have experience working within the Pharmaceutical or Biologics industry. Strong practical Mechanical knowledge. Execution of mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on production systems and equipment, such as pumps, autoclaves, inspection machines, etc within the production area. Supporting both the electrical and calibration departments within the production area. Follow all relevant SOP's and procedures when completing maintenance tasks Ensure all works executed are recorded on the relevant CMMS systems Acute awareness of GMP practices. Ability to read mechanical drawings and system P&ID's Maintain all documentation in an organised and controlled manner, in compliance with client procedures Attend daily meeting and provide status updates.` Have excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills, which above all, pose no risk to health and secondly provide no potential risk to any systems. Utilities Shift Technician Contract Duration/Type: Permanent Location:Athlone, Co Westmeath Shift Role - 4 Cycle Shift Overview of the role: The Utilities shift Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, trouble-shooting and replacement of utility systems in the Athlone facility. This position is also responsible for assisting in the coordination and scheduling of maintenance works performed by service vendors. The individual in this position is expected to support our clients interests, objectives and policies in a professional and responsible manner and can bring continuous improvements to the utilities function on site. Duties of the Role include: Maintaining the Maintenance Quality System by adherence to all relevant SOP's, policies and cGMP requirements. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks in accordance with site policies and procedures. Responding to equipment breakdowns. Proactively ensuring that all Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities are carried out according to EHS regulations and procedures. Maintaining spare parts, change parts and equipment both within manufacturing areas and in the Engineering Stores. Ensure the Maintenance Management System is maintained correctly. Utilising and maintaining IT systems as required, e.g. Computerised Maintenance Management Systems. Act as a subject matter expert for the Facilities and Maintenance group in relevant equipment and system root cause investigations and fill the role of lead investigator where required. Assist in writing and revising Maintenance SOP's as required. Provide support to new equipment installations and product introductions. Filing and archiving of Facilities and Maintenance documentation. Provide support to Operations, Validation, Engineering and Quality where required. Complete on-going training Provide on-call support during project and shutdown activities, as required. Other duties as required. Required skills for this role: Associate Degree and/or technical certification/trade in a mechanical, electrical or related field is required. 3-5 years' experience performing facilities and maintenance support activities in a cGMP commercial manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in clean utility systems (WFI, Pure Steam etc.) and Plant Systems. Prior hands-on experience with CMMS systems Good interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills. Must be knowledgeable of the regulatory and GMP requirements for instrumentation and calibration. To work within a self-managed team of multi-skilled technicians and contractors. Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitting Apprentice Location: Blanchardstown, Co Dublin 39 Hours per week The Fitter's job concerns plant and machinery installation, maintenance and repairs, replacement of broken or work parts, adjustment, servicing and checking components, machinery and equipment, component replacement.
