Work with a globally recognised investment management company Opportunity to utilise your expertise in security valuations Be part of a supportive and collaborative team environment What you'll do: As a Valuations/Pricing Senior Associate at Vanguard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our fund valuations. You will be tasked with researching, analysing and determining accurate security valuations for all securities held on Vanguard Funds. Your expertise will be vital in reviewing and providing direction on complex security pricing issues. You will also be expected to develop a comprehensive understanding of Vanguard's Fund Accounting & Oversight team, global products/investment instruments and third-party pricing data providers. Your ability to prepare detailed reports for management will be key in driving improvements within the team. Research, analyse, and determine security valuations ensuring timely and accurate valuations of all securities held on Vanguard Funds. Review and provide direction to service providers on hard-to-value securities, static/stale prices, corporate actions, FAS levels etc. Ensure that the valuation process strictly adheres to the funds' prospectus, pricing policies and regulatory guidance. Develop a thorough understanding of the Vanguard Fund Accounting & Oversight team, global products/investment instruments and third party pricing data providers. Prepare MIS/dashboard reports for management and establish ownership for corrective action as necessary. Serve as a resource to the Fund Accounting & Oversight team and willingly share expertise. What you bring: As the ideal candidate for the Valuations/Pricing Senior Associate role at Vanguard, you bring a wealth of experience in similar roles. With at least five years of related work experience under your belt, you have developed strong relationship management skills and have proven your ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Your proficiency in using Bloomberg and other vendor portals as well as Microsoft packages, particularly Excel, will be crucial in this role. Your ability to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously will set you apart. Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred. Knowledge of "OTC" derivative. Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced environment, working with multiple and diverse responsibilities. Proven ability to effectively communicate with external providers, internal business clients and crew members at all levels. Strong relationship management skills. Proficient in using Bloomberg and other vendor portals as well as Microsoft packages particularly Excel. This role is crucial to the daily operations of IBOR (Investment Book of Records) maintenance, ensuring the accuracy of data, transactions, and positions for Portfolio Management and other downstream consumers of IBOR data. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, basic analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a team-oriented mindset. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and basic financial software is advantageous . Conduct daily reconciliations and ensure accurate input of data into the IBOR Review and validate daily transactions, positions, and valuation data Monitor data flows into the IBOR, identifying any discrepancies or issues Assist in analysing data trends and identifying movements in portfolio balances Engage with internal teams to share updates on daily processes Build foundational knowledge in investment operations including collateral, corporate actions, securities lending, trade management & ETF Operations What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Portfolio Control Analyst position brings a strong attention to detail, basic analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset. You are comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and basic financial software. Prior exposure to IBOR systems or asset management tools would be beneficial but not essential. A Bachelor's degree in finance , Economics, Accounting or a related field is required along with placement or up to 1 year of experience in asset management or financial operations.
