    Overview Software Engineer role at Valeo in Galway, Ireland. Responsibilities Technical and functional review of test specifications; SW design specifications; SW implementation Develop source code in accordance with coding guidelines and MISRA standard, review of justifications and solutions Code review organizer and lead reviews Responsible for module testing; module test report; static code analysis (e.g. Klocwork, Linting, QAC or Polyspace) Maintaining work products in CM database Ensuring the work is done in a way which satisfies the company QA requirements and software quality processes e.g. ASPICE, ISO15504 Generate PRs and CRs for any problems found; responsible for implementing fixes and changes required by PRs and CRs Participating in design reviews; participating in project and team meetings as requested Monitor and review software development activities on project and highlight progress / risk to team leader and hierarchical manager Assist software team leader with the following tasks as agreed: reviews of internal requirements, customer requirements, specifications; general software & product design reviews and problem resolution; product and project risk analysis; preparing technical presentations; traveling to customer sites Complete scheduled tasks within assigned projects to deliver software development output to the project team as per agreed timing plan Ability to technically lead: workshops; customer communication on technical topics Mentoring fellow engineers Education/Training Graduate in Electronic, Computer or Software Engineering Master in Engineering / SW Development topics an advantage Professional Experience 5+ years experience in SW Development Expert knowledge in Embedded Targets and Peripherals Expert knowledge in C / C++ / Python programming / shell scripting Good knowledge of embedded software system design concepts Good understanding of Electronics / Hardware Design Multi-core / SoC debugging Profiling Memory & CPU / KPI analysis Familiarity with quality assurance practice Used Source Control tools (e.g. Git); ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA); CI systems (e.g. Jenkins) Experience with Agile project development High degree of innovation and creativity Good communication skills, both written and verbal Good team player and ability to adapt to varying tasks on a weekly basis Confident, self-motivated, determined, energetic with high level of initiative and creativity Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Engineering and Information Technology Industries Motor Vehicle Parts Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr

Responsibilities Consolidate the Mid-Term Plan for the platform in coordination with RO industrial directors and site managers. Contribute to SPP (Strategic Product Planning) for process development. Propose footprint for New Project Approval. Define and update the technology roadmap for the platform. Lead Make-or-Buy analysis. Ensure the industrial strategy aligns with PG strategy. Contribute to the platform expert roadmap. Platform Industrial Strategy Consolidate the Mid-Term Plan in coordination with industrial directors and site managers. Provide input for line transfer and technology deployment projects. Validate investment plans and set priorities to optimize CAPEX. Contribute to supplier panel and standardization for machines and tools. Participate in Pre-SOCO & SOCO activities for the platform.
