The Role We are looking for a Trainee Accountant at an early stage of their career to join our team. This is a remote role but will include occasional visits to client sites. It is ideal for someone who is motivated, detail‑oriented, and keen to build strong core accounting skills in a modern, cloud‑based environment. You will work closely with experienced accountants and gain practical exposure across bookkeeping, management accounts, and statutory compliance for a variety of clients. Key Responsibilities Assisting with bookkeeping and account reconciliations Preparing VAT returns and supporting compliance work Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts Assisting with year‑end financial statements Working with modern accounting systems including Xero and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Supporting process improvements and basic automation initiatives Communicating with clients in a clear and professional manner About You This role would suit someone who: Is early in their accounting career (graduate or part‑qualified) Is studying or planning to study towards ACCA / ACA / CIMA Has a strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in accounting Is comfortable working independently in a fully remote role Has good written and verbal communication skills Is confident with technology and keen to learn new systems Experience with Xero or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage, but not essential.
