About the role We are seeking a passionate and committed Social Care Worker to join our team in Meath. In this role, you will help create a safe, caring, and supportive home environment for the children, young people, or adults you support. You will play an important part in promoting wellbeing, building positive relationships, supporting daily routines, and helping each person work towards their individual goals. This role involves sleepover shifts as part of a structured rota, allowing for consistency in care and team support. This is an opportunity to be part of a trauma-informed, clinically supported service where teamwork, consistency, and person-centred care are at the heart of what we do. Key Responsibilities Support residents in line with their individual care plans, goals, and assessed needs Promote a safe, nurturing, and structured living environment Build positive, professional relationships with residents based on trust, respect, and consistency Support emotional, social, and practical development through daily engagement and planned activities Contribute to the implementation and review of individualised care plans Maintain accurate and timely records in line with organisational and regulatory requirements Work collaboratively with colleagues, clinicians, social workers, and external professionals Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive outcomes at all times What we’re looking for A genuine commitment to working compassionately and professionally with children, young people, and/or adults in care Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills Knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and person-centred care Ability to work in a dynamic environment with flexibility and resilience Good organisational skills and confidence in record-keeping Ability to contribute positively within a multidisciplinary team Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Psychology, or a related field CORU registration or member Previous experience in social care, residential care, child and youth care, disability services, or a related setting Full, valid driving licence Authorised to work in Ireland Previous experience in residential care or supportive living services Experience working with trauma-informed or attachment-based approaches Experience working collaboratively with external agencies and multidisciplinary teams Why join Three Steps?
