This role requires you to keep many balls in the air at one time. Work effectively both independently as well as being part of a team. Show the ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively in order to meet deadlines. This position is fulltime, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities: Carry out repairs and installations in a timely and professional manner. Report to maintenance manager or supervisor if stock levels are low for all the items required to complete tasks. Assist all departments with regard to maintenance issues, especially housekeeping, reception and food production areas to ensure the timely completion of work and to promote a good working relationship with all concerned. Maintain records of completed repairs and installations for compliance and future reference. Keep all maintenance areas, workshops, plant rooms, maintenance offices clean and tidy at all times, and ensure waste bins are emptied regularly. Respond accordingly to maintenance requests from guests or other departments to minimize disruption to hotel operations. Carry car park duties as per the daily schedules set out by the Maintenance Manager and ensure that all waste areas are kept clean and tidy and that waste streams are not being contaminated. Cooperation to any colleague requiring assistance in a prompt caring and helpful manner and to be flexible in assisting around the hotel in response to business and guests needs. Requirements: Strong knowledge of woodworking, repairs, and installations. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to work in compliance with them. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various departments.
