The Senior Transport Planner works as part of a small team, to plan structured and cost-efficient delivery schedules throughout the island of Ireland and Europe. The Special Cargo Department offer a bespoke service in moving out-of-gauge loads. You will be responsible for: Route planning for this busy department. Vessel / Shipping bookings Ensuring all special permits for oversized loads are issued and compliant for transports in Ireland and Europe. Ensuring all loads are collected and delivered within parameters of KPIs agreed with customers. Working as part of a team to solve problems whilst conducting root cause analysis and driving improvements. Liaising with customers to ensure accurate scheduling and project planning requirements are met. Providing customers and management with KPI reports matching business needs. Manage Key Account Role with responsibility for quotations and operational excellence. Ensuring the profitable management of all business activities and optimising cost centres at optimum levels. Oversee sub-contractors & drivers within this role. Minimum Requirements: You must have a proven track record in full load transport planning, heavy guage or project cargo industry experience. We need you to be self-motivated with an ability to deal with fast-changing environments and the ability to be flexible. A good geographical knowledge of Ireland/Europe and awareness of vehicle safety legislation, EU driver hours and Working Time Regulations.
