Team Overview
The Contracts team acts as a central link between design, commercial, and on-site departments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope. The team manages material planning, assembly schedules, and project completion while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to lead project assembly, manage teams, and liaise across departments. The role involves supporting floor supervisors, working with commercial and design teams, and using design tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and MEP 3D software.
Projects are predominantly based across Europe, particularly within the Data Center sector, and involve mechanical and electrical works in prefabricated modules and packaged plantrooms. Prior MEP experience is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Manage projects from assembly through completion, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
Supervise and coordinate assembly teams and floor supervisors, setting objectives and priorities.
Work with subcontractors to define scope and ensure alignment with project requirements.
Confirm project specifications, drawings, materials, and orders before work begins.
Maintain project documentation, including trackers, schedules, and lessons learned.
Oversee procurement of plant and equipment according to specifications.
Track labour, subcontractors, and project costs to ensure budget compliance.
Support monthly financial applications, valuations, and reporting of contract variations.
Attend project meetings, providing accurate progress updates.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to forecast resources and team development.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a similar management role within construction, building services, or MEP projects.
Experience delivering projects valued between £3m–£10m.
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Reliable, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of responsibilities.
Hands‑on experience with on‑site plumbing and professional plumbing tools.
HNC or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
