My client, an established medium sized accountancy practice based in North Dublin is actively seeking a motivated Accountant with tax experience to join their growing team. This is a newly created role, offering a mix of general accountancy work alongside hands on involvement in tax, working directly alongside the Tax Director. The role will provide strong mentoring and exposure across a wide range of tax matters, while also allowing the successful candidate to build and maintain a broad accounting skillset. The position is expected to evolve significantly over time, with the tax element of the role growing as the department continues to develop, offering excellent long term career development opportunities. Duties will include: Prepare and file accurate and timely Income Tax Returns Handle the preparation of CGT and CAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations Complete Corporation Tax returns with strong attention to detail Assist with VAT returns and support the smooth running of the tax department Support general accountancy and client work as required Research technical tax issues for directors and respond to ad hoc tax queries from audit, accounts staff, and clients Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: ACCA, ACA qualified coupled with exposure to tax work CTA qualified or interested in working towards Proficiency with Tax Pro and ROS Strong knowledge of VAT legislation is an advantage Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong client relationships Additional Details: Full-time, office-based role Standard working hours: 09:00AM to 17:30PM Flexibility available to support work life balance Will consider a 4 day week Pension after 6 months Genuinely warm, friendly and supportive environment Free onsite parking and accessible via Dart line Salary 55K to 65K DOE Skills: TAX Accounting VAT
