Catering Coordinator Job Description:
Detail oriented, service driven individual who is obsessively passionate about providing memorable experiences to all guests through planning and executing seamless events.
Your skills and experience include:
Proven luxury hotel experience within the meeting and events industry.
Must have good knowledge of food and beverage. Banquet experience is an asset.
Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Computer literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office.
Working knowledge of Opera Clouds and OSEM and Social Tables floorplan program is an asset.
Confident in understanding and explaining contractual information to clients.
Results oriented, positive, service driven with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.
Adapts to change with ease and is able to handle many tasks simultaneously.
A passion for guest service and a desire to be a part of a driven team.
Must be very flexible with work hours to correspond with department, guest & business demands. May be required to work some weekends as business dictates.
A strong team player, able to work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A good problem solver, confident, energetic and flexible.
Able to work as part of a team and independently.
Responsibilities include:
Co-ordinate all aspects of catering events, from initial inquiry to post event follow-up.
Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and preferences.
Liaise with culinary and front of house teams to ensure efficient execution of catering orders.
Liaise with in-house audio-visual team.
Manage event timelines, logistics, and on-site coordination to guarantee a flawless guest experience.
Maintain accurate records of client communications, contracts, billing information.
Work with accounting manager to ensure payments are up to date.
Look after all tour catering bookings.
Assist in working with wedding market.
Uphold high standards of service and presentation and professionalism.
Administrative tasks including weekly and daily reports, daily distribution of BEOs & changelogs, electronic reader board updates, office supplies and repairs.
Reply to RFP and inquiries.
