About the Audit Senior Posts These are full-time permanent posts with Strata Financial. You will be reporting to Senior Managers. The job description covers the following responsibilities: Preparing and completing audit files Reporting directly to partners and managers on audit issues Training and supervising of audit staff Developing audit client relationships Working within audit budgets Other duties from time to time may include; Exempt accounts preparation audit Monthly management accounts Ad Hoc, once off projects such as, companies restructuring assistance, due diligence reports, and financial analysis reports Education/Qualification Requirements for the Audit Senior Posts: Qualified ACCA, ACA, CPA with a minimum of 3 years in practice Audit experience essential Experience of consolidation and group accounts is a distinct advantage Salary will be commensurate on experience. The Role Audit Manager This role is a key link between our audit directors and the teams carrying out the engagements. It will have fast track career progression potential to director, with further progression thereafter to partner. Audit Managers will carry out audit engagements, working closely with the directors, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, managing their audit teams, and communicating findings to directors. Managers play a crucial role in successful audit completions and will manage and work with clients and their teams. A detailed breakdown of our audit managers responsibilities: Planning and Execution: Assisting in Developing and implementing audit plans: Audit managers, working with the directors, will help create comprehensive audit plans that outline the scope, objectives, and procedures for each audit engagement. Supervising their audit teams: They manage and mentor their teams, ensuring that engagements are executed efficiently and effectively, within budget and standards, and that junior team members are trained, engaged and supported. Ensuring compliance: They work with our Head of Compliance to oversee the audit process to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (like IFRS and Irish GAAP), regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Risk Management: Identifying and assessing risks: Audit Managers work with Audit directors to identify potential risks within the organization and assessing their impact on financial reporting and operations. Developing risk mitigation strategies: They work with management to develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks. Communication and Reporting: Communicating audit findings: They help Directors to communicate audit results, recommendations, and potential areas of improvement to senior management and the audit committee where appropriate. Preparing and presenting reports: They prepare and present audit reports that summarize the audit findings and provide insights for decision-making. Client Management: Building and maintaining client relationships: Strata Financials' Audit Managers will interact with clients, managing their expectations and ensuring great client service and communication. Identifying new business opportunities: They may also be involved in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with existing and potential clients. Team Leadership: Mentoring and training: They play a key role in mentoring and training junior members of the audit team, helping them develop their skills and knowledge. Fostering a positive work environment: They create a positive and productive work environment for the audit team. In essence, the Audit Manager acts as a leader within the audit function, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and contributing to the overall success of the accounting firm and its clients. Benefit Package ranges: This role will carry a competitive salary, depending entirely on appropriate and relevant experience, plus an annual bonus of 10%. The role will have 22 days annual leave, a matching pension contribution of up to 5% and medical insurance contribution. WFH will be considered and discussed, post probation period. Reporting directly to the tax partners. Building a rapport with clients in order to understand their business and advise them appropriately both reactively and proactively. Preparation and filing of tax returns in relation to corporation tax and income tax. Ad-hoc input into compliance and advisory matters relating to all other tax heads including VAT, PAYE/PRSI, Capital Gains Tax, CAT, Stamp Duty, etc Acting as a key member on a wide range of tax advisory projects, including company reconstructions, succession planning and cash extraction strategies, and revenue audit assignments. About You In order to succeed, the ideal candidate should: A Chartered Tax Advisor. We will also consider those completing Part 3 CTA exams. Have experience working in tax in a practice environment. An ACA or ACCA qualification is an advantage but not a necessity. Thrive when working as part of a team. Be able to independently manage a portfolio of clients towards achieving deadlines. Be able to manager their own workload and oversee the workload of team members. As a Manager/Senior Manager in our Tax Department, you will be involved in: Management, review and completion of corporation tax portfolio and associated returns for corporate clients. Management, drafting, review and completion of income tax & partnership returns for private client portfolio. Capital gains tax including research on applicable reliefs and tax planning as Capital taxes arising for both private and corporate entities including research on applicable reliefs and tax planning opportunities available. Provision of advice in relation to VAT and indirect tax matters including property transactions on an ad hoc basis. Corresponding with Revenue with respect to Compliance Intervention Notifications, advising clients on availability of phased payment arrangement and other Revenue queries as they might arise. Researching tax technical compliance matters to advise clients appropriately and make appropriate returns including R&D tax credit and interest limitation rules. Management and oversight of tax team in order to achieve tax department objectives and other key metrics. Identifying cross selling opportunities within our compliance portfolio and referring same to the wider firm. Preparation of ad-hoc tax planning reports for our clients across all relevant tax heads.
