    About Us Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38. We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training. Job Description Reporting to the Quality Manager , the Quality Officer will, on a Permanent Wholetime contract , play a key role in ensuring high‑quality, safe, and person‑centred services for everyone supported by Stewarts Care. The successful candidate will bring a strong and up-to-date understanding of the regulations and policies that underpin quality and person‑centred practice. They will be proactive, motivated, and passionate about continuous improvement, with a proven track record of influencing, leading, and embedding positive change in service delivery. Experience and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing or social care (equivalent). In‑depth knowledge of HIQA Standards, the Health Act 2007‑2013 regulations, and New Directions. Demonstrated experience in audit, quality, and continuous improvement systems. Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities and working in partnership with community stakeholders. Advanced report‑writing ability, with experience producing high‑quality reports for senior management and/or external bodies. Full clean driving licence and access to own transport, with flexibility to travel between Stewarts Care sites as required.
