    About Us Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntaryorganisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38. We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training. Purpose of the Post Reporting to the Director of Care, Resident Services, the Staff Nurse will be on a permanent contract. The Staff Nurse will assist Community Services Managers in the development, implementation, and delivery of quality customer focus and cost-effective support to service users.?? This includes the provision of individualprogrammesand activities to meet the needs, choices and abilities of service users, and an active contribution towards the?involvement of Stewarts Community in the expansion of service provision within the local community.?? Experience and Qualifications Practice Nursing according to the Code of Professional Conduct as laid down by the BordAltranaisagusCnimhseachaisnahireann(Nursing Midwifery Board Ireland) and Professional Clinical Guidelines. Adhere to national,regionaland local Health Service Executive (HSE) guidelines, policies,protocolsand legislation. Work within their scope of practice and take measures to develop andmaintainthe competence necessary for professional practice. Maintain a high standard of professional behaviour and be accountable for their practice. Be aware of ethical policies and procedures which pertain to their area of practice. Respect andmaintainthe privacy,dignityand confidentiality of the patient. Followappropriate linesof authority within the Nurse Management structure. Deliver the nursing care of an assigned group of Service Users within a best practice / evidence-based framework. Manage a designated caseload. Promote the health,welfareand social wellbeing of Service Users within our services. Activelyparticipateas a multi-disciplinary / inter-disciplinary team member in all aspects of service delivery including case conferences, clinical meetings, team meetings. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual person-centred care programmes within an agreed framework andin accordance withbest practice. The Person Candidates mustdemonstratesufficient competency and professional knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role. Applications are invited from candidates who are currently registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland in the RNID Division. Applications from other nurses registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland who have a minimum of 1year's experiencein the area ofIntellectual Disability will also be considered. Candidates willpossessa high levelof communication skills, work well within a team and be able to provide high quality focused care. Must have strong command of English language (both verbally and written) and be eligible to work in Ireland. Candidates should be proficient in IT. One years experience supporting people with an intellectual disability is desirable. Have an up-to-date, valid Irish Driving Licence. Purpose of the Post Reporting to the Director of Care, Resident Services, the Care Staff will be on a permanent contract. The overall role and responsibility of Care Staff is to enhance the lives of the Residents. To this aim Care Staff must work effectively with all staff directly involved with the residents of Stewarts Care. Experience and Qualifications Minimum QQI Level 5 (Healthcare Support) or SKILL-VEC Level 5. The strong desire to work with persons with an intellectual disability. The aptitude to provide a person-centred approach to service user programmes. Excellent communication skills both verbal and non-verbal. Be Flexible to meet the needs of the organisation. One years experience working in the area of disability is preferable. Driver's licence is desirable.
