How would you like to experience a more senior position in a busy and innovative Sleep and Pulmonary Physiology department? You will have the opportunity to develop your supervisory and managerial skills while having the support of Chief Physiologists. Applications are therefore invited for the permanent position of Chief 1 Respiratory Physiologist in St. Vincents Private Hospital. Essential Criteria Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: (i) Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) or Dublin Institute of Technology (D.I.T) Or (ii) Possess an equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8) as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMP) Or if qualified in or prior to 2005; (iii) Possess the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from DIT Or, (iv) An equivalent scientific qualification as confirmed by the IICMP The post holder must: Have a minimum of 5 years satisfactory relevant post qualification experience in both Pulmonary and sleep physiology in a recognised clinical Laboratory Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role. Desirable Criteria It is desirable for the post holder to be able to demonstrate where they have experience in: Managing a service or having responsibility for aspects of a service Supervising a team of physiologists and having oversight of student clinical placements.     Applications are invited for the position of Principal Physicist at Saint Vincents Private hospital to support our medical imaging department Essential Criteria (i)Hold a recognised first or second class honours degree in which Physics was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject, Or (ii)Hold a recognised first or second class honours degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Clinical Engineering. And (iii)Hold a postgraduate (M.Sc. or PhD) degree in Medical Physics/Clinical Engineering Or Hold recognized qualifications at least equivalent to (i) and (ii) above (iv)Have at least seven years satisfactory experience, (at least three of which were at senior level), in one or more of the following fields: Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Protection Procedures, Clinical Engineering, Radiological Physics, Radiotherapy or Medical Imaging. (v)Applicants must have a valid Irish working visa Desirable Criteria (i)Evidence of registration as a Medical Physics Expert (MPE) with the Irish College of Physicists in Medicine (ICPM) in Diagnostic Radiology and Imaging Physics and/or Clinical Diagnostics and Therapeutics or demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience to apply for registration within the next 12 months.
