Oversee daily delivery of diverse public programs, including a complex living history program. Develop and oversee all public and school education programs and events for diverse audiences, including children, educators, community groups, the public with a local, national and international reach. Lead and support an inclusive team through technical, administrative and operational direction to staff. Assign work, evaluate performance, identify staff training needs and elevate employee relations matters. Control and monitor allocated operation budget for the unit and regularly provide assurance reports on financial activities. Assess site policy issues based on research, stakeholder input, business delivery proposals and other factors to identify service gaps and recommend improvements to Commission and program policies, practices, and guidelines, helping streamline processes and strengthen accountability. Conduct risk analyses of business proposals, assessing policy and legal impacts, and advising senior management on program changes with appropriate risk and costing strategies. Contribute to the development and implementation of performance measurement tools and analyze data to identify trends, issues, and recommend corrective actions. Manage politically sensitive and high profile issues and complaints through the identification, analysis, and implementation of solutions. You have knowledge of the care and safe use of period weapons and artillery and the safe handling and use of black powder in firing demonstrations.
