Responsibilities & Duties Reporting to the Project Manager, the Electrical Engineer will: Work with the project team and support QA-QC as a Junior Engineer. Provide Technical Support to the project team. Manage Electrical document control to ensure that all relevant logs are kept up to date at all times. Develop a designer’s systems functional description documentation from design intent to final implementation document. Create and develop handover packs and test packs for Electrical and Instrumentation systems from the agreed systems list and create the system boundaries. Manage the systems turnover packs with the client’s commission teams. Attend quality meetings and participate in QA/QC walk downs when required. Evaluate the RFI responses to ensure that there are no engineering issues with them. Prepare all technical submittals according to specifications. Develop and monitor all cable schedules through the project such as MV, LV, Control, ELV, EMS, BMS, ICT, Fibre, Security, FA, FS, ensuring there are no omissions. Ensure all Financial control and tracking for Production and Costs meeting the defined Goals. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget. Actively manage risks and issues and propose solutions to those that will have an impact on delivery timelines or quality. Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, manage dependencies, and critical path deliverables impacting the delivery programme. Attend and chair all project meetings with clients and management and report out on progress. Hold weekly progress meetings with sub-contractors and ensure that safety and training are discussed. Ensure audits are carried out by the person responsible on site for Quality Control in accordance with the design plan. Ensure resource availability and allocation. Is this the job for me? Experience managing electrical substation complex projects preferably with infrastructure/construction deployments. In-depth knowledge of Project Management methodology and practices. Strong communicator with proven ability to create and foster strong teams and build cross-functional relationships. Proven experience in managing, coordinating, and developing staff. Experience in supporting a continuous improvement culture amongst the project team. Experience in High Voltage projects and an awareness of Engineering processes and best practice. IT Literacy.
