Join us and help redefine what’s possible as we shape the future of mobility. Sonatus is seeking a highly motivated IT Engineer to oversee our Ireland facility and lead IT support across EMEA. This role combines IT (systems, networks, cloud) with lab operations (hardware bring‑up, testing, troubleshooting, and asset management). In addition, you will manage employee onboarding and off‑boarding processes and serve as the primary point of contact for IT support in the EMEA region. You will be the on‑site owner for IT and lab readiness, ensuring reliability, security, and smooth operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can work autonomously, and demonstrates strong organizational skills while collaborating with remote global teams. Duties and Responsibilities Act as the primary IT and lab point of contact for the Ireland facility, independently managing daily operations and ensuring a safe, reliable, and productive work environment. Manage LAN, WAN and wireless networks, monitoring, and optimizing for stability and security. Ensure infrastructure reliability, performance, and security by implementing backup, failover, alerting, and disaster recovery mechanisms. Provide end‑to‑end user support, including onboarding and off‑boarding employees. Administer and maintain lab computers, servers, and Linux‑based systems, including software installation, patching, and troubleshooting. Participate in change and configuration management processes, contributing to production and lab environments. Maintain documentation for lab processes and asset management records, configurations, and troubleshooting guidelines. Proactively analyze system and network metrics to identify bottlenecks, optimize resources, and prevent downtime. Collaborate with remote IT and engineering teams, providing updates and ensuring seamless cross‑team support. Other duties as assigned. Will include assisting with HW lab bring‑up and maintenance. Qualifications and Experience Minimum with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related IT specialization with 5+ years of working experience. Proven ability to work independently in a remote or satellite office environment, serving as the primary IT with minimal supervision. Ability to participate in multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively, handle assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Strong hands‑on experience with Linux Systems Administration (Debian and RHEL‑based distributions). Understanding of networking protocols such as (IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF 802.11, 802.1X and QoS) and network troubleshooting. Demonstrated experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible. Experience with scripting in Bash, Python or any other language. Experience working with Identity Provider (IdP) solutions and integration with LDAP and RADIUS. Understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as JumpCloud. Experience with virtualization such as VMware ESXi, any public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), Docker and/or Kubernetes. Exposure to lab management operations, including equipment bring‑up, inventory control, and process documentation. Strong interpersonal skills: team player, resourceful, and an effective communicator. Bonus Points IT certifications (Cisco networking certifications such as CCNA or CCNP, Cloud certifications from AWS, Azure or GCP, Security+, ITIL v3.) This is a 6-month contract role in our Dublin, Ireland office, reporting to our Talent Acquisition Director in Sunnyvale, California. You will be employed and payrolled through Morgan McKinley. In this role, you will own all recruitment across EMEA, spanning both technical and non-technical positions, with a particular emphasis on technical hiring (software engineering, embedded systems, cloud, and related roles). You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, build strong partnerships with hiring managers, and ensure a world-class candidate experience. Responsibilities Full-Cycle Recruitment : Own the end-to-end recruitment process for EMEA roles, with a focus on technical positions. Sourcing & Engagement : Proactively identify and engage top talent using a variety of sourcing methods (LinkedIn Recruiter, networks, events, job boards, etc.). Talent Pipeline Development : Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates across key disciplines and geographies. Candidate Assessment : Screen and interview candidates to evaluate skills, experience, and cultural fit. Hiring Manager Collaboration : Partner closely with hiring managers globally for EMEA-based roles to understand hiring needs, advise on recruitment strategies, and provide updates on progress. Offer Management : Drive the offer process, including salary negotiations and ensuring a smooth handoff to onboarding. Market Insights : Stay current on EMEA market trends, competitive activity, and regulatory requirements to inform hiring strategies. Employer Branding : Support initiatives that strengthen Sonatus's reputation as an employer of choice in Europe. ATS Management : Maintain accurate candidate records and reporting in Greenhouse (our ATS). Compliance : Ensure all hiring practices comply with local labor laws and regulations across EMEA. Qualifications 5+ years of recruitment experience, with significant focus on technical hiring. Proven experience hiring in EMEA (Ireland, France, Germany, and/or Poland). Strong track record of successfully recruiting software engineers, embedded systems engineers, cloud engineers, and other technical talent. Comfortable also managing non-technical hiring needs. Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools. Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently while staying connected with the global Talent Acquisition team. Experience with Greenhouse ATS is a plus. Previous work in a fast-paced, scaling environment (startup or high-growth company) preferred. Fluent in English; additional European languages (e.g., German, French, Polish) are a plus.
