The Opportunity: We are in an accelerated growth phase and seeking a highly motivated, accomplished, and driven Staff Developer, Systems & Cloud Test Framework to join our expanding team. As part of a collaborative cross-functional team responsible for the entire software development life cycle, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and products, contributing from conception to deployment. Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with QA and development to define comprehensive test framework strategies. Directly responsible for the QA development artifacts (e.g., test code repository) and demonstrating/maintaining best practices for the team Owner of the technical QA test framework roadmap and working with their manager to ensure that the roadmap aligns with the business/product needs and goals Track test framework activities, including schedule, resources, requirements, defects, and resolution for clear alignment across key stakeholders. Identify areas for improvement in the test framework coverage methodology and provide valuable suggestions. Provide Quality Assurance for the test framework developed on private and public Cloud Infrastructure. Design and develop a QA Test Framework for integration, regression, stress tests, and test suites, focusing on automation. Possess excellent embedded systems testing knowledge as well as good Web/UI testing knowledge, utilizing tools similar to Playwright expertise. Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and build automation tools to validate scalability across Cloud Services. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of embedded software experience across data center, networking, security, cloud, or automotive domains. Expert in test framework design, automation, and QA methodologies. Strong programming skills: Python (recent), plus C++, Java, JavaScript, Go, or .NET. Hands-on experience with embedded systems and test automation tools (PyTest, Behave, Playwright, Postman, etc.). Proficient with Linux, shell scripting, networking fundamentals, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong knowledge of embedded / automotive SDLC and Cloud platforms Familiar with databases (SQL/NoSQL), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, JIRA), and client-server architectures. Role Summary: As a leading provider of software technologies for software-defined vehicles, Sonatus is seeking a highly motivated Software Integration Engineer to join its fast-growing team. In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for software integration and prototype development, interacting directly with customers to solve pressing problems and apply your skills to build impactful solutions. You will play a crucial part in shaping the industry and scaling the company's products and business. Responsibilities: Integrate embedded software modules and SDKs into automotive vehicle platforms, and develop Proof of Concept (POC) prototypes for in-vehicle solution demos. Troubleshooting & Debugging. Identify, analyze, and resolve issues that arise during the software integration and development life cycle, ensuring smooth and reliable software deliverables. Develop and deploy scalable backend services and APIs to support vehicle data communication, software-defined vehicle features, and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and OEMs, providing hands-on integration support for vehicle systems. Create comprehensive training materials and present solutions through in-vehicle demos to customers, partners, and internal teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our products, solutions, and support meet customer needs and industry standards. Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 7 or more years of working experience in data communication, networking, or the automotive industry. Solid C/C++ and embedded system programming experience. Experience with Linux, Android, and/or other POSIX operating systems. Experience in cross-compiling embedded software for various software platforms, and able to integrate software SDK/APIs within vehicle software Experience in automotive systems integration, platform-dependent integration and development, multithreading, and concurrent programming. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including cloud-native services. Experience with API integration and testing using scripting languages like Python Experience with automotive software architecture and end-to-end solutions. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Familiar with networking technologies of Ethernet and CAN bus, and communication protocols of TCP/IP, HTTP, and MQTT.
