We are URGENTLY recruiting for Health & Safety Advisors to join a busy construction firm who need experienced and professional EHS personnel to oversee a range of residential construction projects across Dublin.
Coming from a recent background of on-site construction projects is a MUST to be considered for interview.
These Health & Safety roles will support the implementation and monitoring of health and safety systems across construction projects and within the wider business. Working closely with the Senior Health & Safety Manager, site management, and project teams, the role helps ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and promotes a positive safety culture on site.
The Health & Safety Advisor will carry out inspections, provide guidance to site teams, assist with training, and support incident investigations to ensure safe working environments are maintained across all projects.
Health & Safety Leadership & Compliance Support compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards
Assist in implementing and monitoring company health and safety policies and procedures
Support site management in meeting their health and safety responsibilities
Maintain a strong focus on health and safety across sites
Risk Management & Safe Systems of Work Review subcontractor RAMS under guidance of the Senior Health & Safety Manager
Assist in ensuring suitable and sufficient risk assessments are in place for site activities
Support review and implementation of safe working procedures and method statements
Monitor compliance with safe systems of work on site
Assist in ensuring appropriate health and safety equipment, including PPE, is provided, used correctly, and recorded
Inspections, Monitoring & Proactive Safety Carry out regular site safety inspections and audits
Identify hazards, non-conformances, and areas for improvement
Support close-out of inspection findings and corrective actions
Report safety observations and trends to the Senior Health & Safety Manager
Training, Awareness & Culture Promote a positive health and safety culture across site teams and subcontractors
Assist with health and safety training requirements
Support delivery of site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
Support health and safety initiatives to improve awareness and compliance
Assist with accident and incident investigations and reporting
Support maintenance of incident records in line with legal and company requirements
Assist with implementation and maintenance of emergency procedures and plans Respond to health and safety-related issues or concerns on site
Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in a Health & Safety Advisor / Officer role within the residential construction industry
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice
Experience working on live construction sites
Relevant certifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field or working towards
Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Ability to engage with site teams, influence safe behaviours, and promote a positive health and safety culture
