About The Role And The Team As a Product Owner you will be is responsible for maximizing the business value delivered by Agile Scrum Teams. The PO has a strong technical and operational understanding of the product and, as this is primarily an ‘internal facing’ role, they work closely with their Product Manager to gain a clear understanding of the business problems customers need the product to solve, as well as the vision and strategic direction of the overall portfolio. Furthermore, the Product Owner will usually drive the ‘Design Partner’ process whereby a small number of selected SITA customers are provided with incremental software updates throughout the development process of a new release. Reporting to the Senior Product Owner, you will be a key part of the multiple Airport Management teams. These teams are delivering a product that harness data and AI to help airports become more efficient. What You Will Do Fundamentally understands our customers’ business and the outcomes they want us to deliver. Works with the Product Manager to shape the Portfolio Vision. Owns the Product Vision in collaboration with the Product Manager. Responsible for the end to end delivery of the product and as such is supporting the transition by ensuring that the scope of his/her delivery includes the tasks required to ensure the operability of the final solution. Manages the Product Backlog and plans the sprints. Populates the Product Backlog with artifacts that provides the next level of detail to support the delivery of the product road map as defined with the Product Manager. Specifies Functional requirements, Non‑Functional Requirements & Acceptance Criteria. Responsible for discussing the features of the product and supporting the functional analysis of the backlog and call out priorities of the roadmap. Knows the costs of a delivery (project or release) in the details and in real‑time. Defines PI or Release time‑boxes. Defines MVP for a release. Works with the Scrum Teams to define Sprint goals. Attends Scrum team Daily Stand‑ups. Attends Sprint Planning, clarifies requirements for the teams. Accepts (or rejects) the team’s work during the sprint and at the End of Sprint Review. Demos the teams (accepted) work to the wider SITA community & customers. Defines PI or Release time‑boxes. Defines MVP for a release and does Product Documentation. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a significant product owner or similar function. Minimum 3 years of Data science / Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning to manage the external data science delivery/integration. Business Analysis - Analytical and problem‑solving skills. Minimum 3 years of experience in Air Transport Industry desirable. Outstanding communication and presentation skills. Business / Engineering / Science related qualification to at least Bachelor’s Degree level typically. Other Degree level backgrounds considered. Experience of working with and across multiple agile scrum teams. Experience of working directly with customers. Practical experience of running a customer design partnership program. A proactive, dynamic, and positive attitude. You like to work well within teams and with external teams. Good to have previous experience with building new products from scratch. Strong understanding of Product lifecycle. Deep knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks. Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM As a Test Analyst working in the Airport Operations & Baggage portfolio, you will be accountable for the analysis of requirements, producing test plans and reports, reviewing and enhancing software development test processes to ensure product quality, contributing to the test automation strategy and the design of scalable and maintainable test solutions within a highly collaborative DevOps team. WHAT YOU’LL DO Become part of a small, high-performing Agile Scrum Team. Actively participating in ceremonies and continuous improvement efforts. Analyze requirements and help define User Stories that the Team will work on. Design and write automation tests in a collaborative manner with the rest of the Team. Take responsibility for maintaining high standards within the tests. Perform exploratory/manual tests when required. Document test activities, track defects, and adjust test cases based on findings. Support release testing activities, including test exits and compliance checks. Qualifications ABOUT YOUR SKILLS Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience as a Test Analyst in software development or testing environments, with a strong focus on automation testing. Some knowledge of the Java programming language. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git. Desire to work on challenging technical tasks. Experience in defect lifecycle management – detection, documentation, prioritization, assignment, resolution, closure, and reporting. Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively within Agile Scrum teams. NICE-TO-HAVE Experience designing and building automation test suites for message processing applications, with knowledge of frameworks such as TestNG, Selenium, or Playwright, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and performance testing. Strong understanding of testing types (Unit, Integration, Functional) and hands-on experience with message streaming systems (e.g., Kafka), databases (including document databases), and test management tools like Octane.
