  • Construction Site Manager

    The Client and overview of the opportunity My Client are a Midlands-based, €150m+ turnover Main Contractor. They have a good name in the market and over 80 years of continuous trading. This business are hiring for the future and are keen to bring people in who would like to progress over time. This business Works, Civil Infrastructure, Apartments & Commercial projects in Munster & Leinster. As this is an established, close-knit team, we're also looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, takes pride in what they do and seeing others do well. We are searching for an experience Site Manager or Senior Engineer with extensive experience managing Concrete Frame construction projects. They have 4 years of work in the Midlands at the moment and plenty of work in Dublin too. Key Responsibilities Work closely with Contracts Manager/Company Directors to ensure smooth-running project which makes money for the Company. Manage on-site Construction Activities, ensuring Project Milestones are met. Supervise and Co-Ordinate Engineers, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Trades. Manage EHS as per Company and Industry standards. Ensure Quality Control and adherence to Project Specifications. Manage site records, progress reports, and day-to-day problem-solving Monitor project costs and ensure resources are used efficiently. Requirements Degree qualified in Construction Management or having a trade background + previous Site Management experience. 5+ years of Construction experience as a Site Manager/Foreman. Strong knowledge of Construction Practices, Regulations, and Safety Standards. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain project schedules.   • The Client and overview of the Role: I am working with a Residential Developer and a €190m turnover Main Contracting Group to find a number of Engineers for Apartment and Housing projects in the Limerick region. I have placed several people with these business over the years with good feedback. They are all able to offer continuity of work in the Limerick region plus progression opportunities over time. The Developers have 4-5 years of Construction to do and Main Contractors have projects starting in January for 2-3 years too. Main responsibilities will include: If you are a Site Engineer, you will be required to set out. At Senior Engineer, you'll be supervising but may have to Set-Out from time to time. Coordinate and liaise with Senior Management, subcontractors, site personnel and/or Local Authorities and Utilities businesses, giving timely and accurate information. Ensuring that all materials used, and work performed are as per specification and drawing requirements. They are involved projects for; public works, sports, commercial, and residential buildings and are one of the fastest growing Main Contractors in the Country. They have just won a c.€40M contract to renovate a high-end, heritage Hotel in Co. Clare. This is a landmark building and will be one you'll be proud to have worked on for years to come! The project will include extensive internal improvements, cut & carve extension and some external works too. We're open to receiving applications from experienced Site Engineers/Senior Site Engineers with extensive Setting-Out experience, using Total Stations, in Ireland. You'll be working as part of a team and will also be responsible for producing As-Built drawings and various other documents for Technical Submittals (Irish Water, ESB, Local Authorities etc.). Main responsibilities will include: Working closely with on-site and off-site management teams to set-out the project. Set-Out or Supervise Setting-Out Engineers and manage day-to-day site operations (DOE) Check plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate Check shuttering, steel other dimensions prior to any concrete pours. Liaise with subcontractors, clients and internal teams to ensure that program targets are met/exceeded where possible. Order materials, plant and maintain reconciliation files. (DOE) Come up with solutions to problems, where necessary. Oversee quality control, BCAR and health and safety on site. Maintain materials reconciliation files.
