The Client and overview of the opportunity: My Client are a €140m+ turnover, Family-owned Main Contractor. They have a really good name in the market and over 80 years of continuous trading. The Construction Director and Project Manager over this particular project are great to work for and have been with the business 20+ years each. They have a number of exciting projects coming up in the West and Mid-West over the next few months. This business are hiring for the future and are keen to bring people in who would like to progress over time. Currently looking for an experienced M&E Co-Ordinator / Building Services Engineer to look after a c.€40m 5* Hotel renovation project in Co. Clare. This project is expected to take around 3 years to complete and the contract is only a few weeks after being awarded. Joining now will mean you can look after the entire project from start-to-finish. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors to ensure works are carried out in the correct sequence and to program. Review M&E drawings and specifications for accuracy, completeness, and buildability. Assist in developing and maintaining M&E installation schedules. Ensure M&E works comply with Irish regulations, building control requirements, industry standards and project specifications. Solve technical queries and discrepancies. Monitor the quality of M&E installations throughout the construction phase. Conduct regular site inspections Review RAMS and commissioning documentation. Act as the main point of contact between site operations, M&E subcontractors, and the design team. Attend site coordination meetings and circulate minutes or updates as required. Support the Site Manager and Project Manager in managing M&E-related queries and instructions. Review and compile O&M manuals and handover documentation. Ensure all required certifications are completed and submitted. Requirements: Enjoy doing what you do and take pride in it. Want to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Previous experience using BIM, AutoCAD, Procore or other project management software. Degree/Diploma in Construction related subject or trade qualified in plumbing/mechanical/HVAC/electrical 5+ years' experience in an M&E coordination or building services role on Irish construction sites. Strong understanding of Irish building regulations, BCAR and industry best practices. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, plumbing, and related building services systems. Valid Safepass and Manual Handling certificates would be great.
