What do you have to offer? The primary focus of this Mid Market / Large Enterprise sales role is to generate new business for payroll solutions (SaaS and outsourced payroll services) and cross sell Time & Attendance and HR SaaS solutions from the SD Worx portfolio. Success in this role requires a flair for building new relationships and your quality of research, contact creation and influencing skills will be critical. The Business Development Manager will join an experienced team and you will demonstrate a winning attitude combined with a sales-focused mindset. Minimum of 3 years SAAS sales experience or similar role in a related field. Educated to degree level. Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with clients. Self‑starter with a competitive nature to deliver revenue targets. Strong track record of meeting sales targets. Excellent business writing skills. Strong negotiation and problem‑solving abilities. Proficient in Salesforce and MS Office Suite. Experience working in a similar industry to SD Worx is preferable but not essential. Which tasks can you expect? Contribute directly to sales and business growth and achieve the business sales target. Introduce, promote, market all SD Worx products and services to prospective clients. Expand the client base through networking, business referral, constant follow‑up, calls etc. Attend to all prospective client enquiries on products & services. Swift closure of sales. Participate in business development, marketing, promotion campaign & activities. Be part of the SD Worx Sales Machine, driving revenue growth. Proactively recommend and sell products or services based on prospective client needs. Develop a deep understanding of client needs, goals, and pain points. Build and maintain an in‑depth understanding of our product and services by working closely with your peers. Liaise with Service Delivery and Implementation to ensure a smooth and professional service between SD Worx and the client. Be the voice of the client with Operations & Implementation to ensure our teams are meeting client requirements, whilst proactively managing client expectations. Keep accurate records of client interactions and maintain a client database on Salesforce. Stay up to date with industry trends and client news to identify new opportunities. Always represent SD Worx professionally ensuring alignment to SD Worx strategy, business plan, code of conduct, ethics, products, and services. Be a pro‑active and overall team player by working closely with other team members to ensure that overall company objectives are met. Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and industry meet‑ups for business development. Conduct market research to evaluate gaps, opportunities, and client needs. Take feedback from clients and share it with the team. Participating in sales team meetings. Support the internal legal team with issuing client contracts, liaising with queries and updating Salesforce. From many places, we work as one, moving from better to best together. About the role The BDR role will partner with our sales and marketing teams and be expected to deliver qualified leads to senior sales team members. A smart, creative, problem‑solver will deliver an aligned message that generates leads as a means to acquire new logos into our customer base across SME, Mid Market and Large Enterprise. Prospect, educate, qualify and develop target accounts and inbound leads to create sales‑ready opportunities Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop messaging that will garner interest Engage with prospective customers to develop new business relationships, understand the challenges they are trying to address and determine the solution(s) that will be of value Create new SRO’s, and handoff opportunities to sales team members, educating as necessary about opportunities Successfully handle and overcome prospect objections, engaging with them in 121 telephone conversations and using all the potential social channels (email, business forums, LinkedIn) Be highly coachable and committed to building an understanding of the market, developing your sales skills and learning our products and process Ensure efficient lead management by updating lead and prospect information in SFDC Partner with sales and marketing team to generate a robust pipeline of qualified sales opportunities Closely connect to marketing and understand the principals of marketing campaigns Closely connect to product & portfolio: know the products & services from SD Worx, the USP’s, the competition, the roadmap Closely connect to sales: help sales to develop, target and qualify SRO’s, to plan follow‑up conversations, to determine real needs of the prospect Customer centric: understands the customer context, can ask smart questions. What do you have to offer? 1–3 years within a Sales/Business Development Representative role (SAAS/Services company preferred) is essential Self‑starter with a track record of successful, measurable lead follow‑up and sales development at multiple executive levels within an organization Strong opportunity qualification, objection handling, and time management ability Trained on call structuring, conversation control, and pitching Experience in use of social selling tools for both research and outreach Ability to work in a high‑energy sales team environment Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills Proficient with standard corporate tools (email, voicemail, MS Office) Sales training and Salesforce experience a plus From many places, we work as one, moving from better to best together.
