Staff Nurses - Relief Contracts Location: Beaufort / Tralee / Children Services The successful candidate requires: RGN/RNMH/RNID qualifications or other suitable nursing qualifications and to be a Staff Nurse on the current register as maintained by An Bord Altranais. Relevant experience of working with people who have behaviours that challenge is an advantage. Demonstrate excellent communication (both verbal and written), organisational skills, flexibility and commitment. Full Driving Licence for a manual vehicle desirable. The successful candidate must: Have a recognised 3rd Level qualification at NQF Level 7 in Allied Health/Health/Social Care/Community Development/Sports & Recreation/Education profession; Have at least 2 years post qualification experience of working with adults with an intellectual disability; A minimum of one year's demonstrable supervisory experience, along with excellent managerial and leadership skills; Experience of working with individuals who have moderate, severe to profound disabilities is desirable; Experience of supporting individuals who present with behaviours of concern and challenge; Demonstrate evidence of continuous quality improvement in person centred planning; Previous experience in the delivery of training and community development e.g. QQI with a creative approach is desirable Demonstrate excellent knowledge and leadership in New Directions; Excellent communication skills essential; Demonstrate evidence of continued commitment to professional development; A full clean driver's license for manual vehicles is essential. Have a minimum of three years post qualification experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist. Have a qualification in dysphagia with at least 6 months post graduate experience working in the area of adult dysphagia. Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, enthusiasm and resourcefulness. Be responsible and accountable and have proven experience to properly discharge the functions of the role in line with best practice and professional standards. Desirable Experience: Have completed Lamh training and training related to Augmentative and Alternative Communication. Have experience in delivering Staff Training Programmes.
