Overview Job Title: Senior Consultant – Lean & Continuous Improvement
Location: Galway - Ireland
Travel: Regular travel to client sites
We are seeking an experienced Lean & Continuous Improvement Consultant to deliver transformation programmes within a pharmaceutical client. This is a client-facing consulting role requiring regular travel to client sites to deliver workshops, coaching, and on-site transformation activities.
You will work as part of multi-disciplinary consulting teams, partnering closely with client teams to embed Lean thinking, develop capability, and realise sustained business benefits.
Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver continuous improvement engagements that achieve clearly defined, measurable benefits for clients
Design, plan, and facilitate high-impact client workshops and interventions, including: Changeover reduction / SMED
Line-side improvements including OEE
Capability Building & Coaching Develop client capability through:
Green Belt and Yellow Belt training delivery
Formal and informal coaching at multiple organisational levels
Enable clients to sustain improvements beyond the engagement lifecycle
Benefits Realisation & Performance Measurement Define, track, and report benefits from improvement initiatives
Ensure delivery translates into tangible operational, financial, and quality outcomes
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence Build strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and frontline teams
Influence and challenge leaders effectively using data, insight, and behavioural understanding
Provide useful, timely, and constructive feedback to enable performance and leadership growth
Participate in client governance and contribute to site and global governance forums
Behavioural & Cultural Transformation Leverage ideal behaviours to embed change and drive sustainable results
Lead by example, creating high levels of engagement, trust, and ownership within client teams
Business Growth Collaborate effectively within consulting project teams, contributing to shared learning, development, and delivery excellence

Required Experience & Background Proven experience delivering Lean / Continuous Improvement ideally within the pharmaceutical industry , across operations and quality
Strong Lean and/or Six Sigma capability (Green Belt required; Black Belt desirable)
Experience designing and delivering workshops, training, and facilitation sessions both on-site and virtually
Demonstrated success in benefits tracking and realisation
Comfortable influencing senior leaders in complex organisations
Awareness of digital tools and systems that support Lean transformation, performance management, and analytics
Programme or project management capability is advantageous

Key requirements Fluent in English
A minimum of 10 years experience in Lean and continuous improvement
Ideally but not essential; a Degree or equivalent experience
Freedom to travel globally and a full driving license
