  • Graduate Heavy Maintenance Planning Engineer – PAM IRE SNN Join to apply for the Graduate Heavy Maintenance Planning Engineer – PAM IRE SNN role at Ryanair - Europe's Favourite Airline Description PAM Ireland Ltd is offering an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Heavy Maintenance Planning Engineer to join our team at Hangar 5, Shannon Airport. The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic, highly skilled team, contributing to the safe maintenance of a fleet of 600+ aircraft for one of the world’s largest and most successful airlines. The Graduate Heavy Maintenance Planning Engineer is responsible for the production planning and scheduling of Heavy Maintenance (HM) and Line Maintenance (LM) inputs within their stationed PAM site. Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities Create and manage manpower plans for HM & LM inputs, this includes both short-term and long-term planning. Create and monitor work pack schedules for HM inputs, proposing updates to schedules when required. Provide monthly manning level statements and manpower costings for all HM & LM inputs. Ensure all tasks as detailed within the PAML Planning Manual are completed without deviation. Complete local/group projects as assigned by management. Anticipate potential problems using future planning and develop solutions. Perform scope of work assessments for all HM & LM inputs prior to work commencement date, ensuring work is within their site’s capability. Conduct post-check reviews of HM inputs, identifying areas of improvement. Analyse site performance trends and provide continuous planning improvements. Review manufacturer planning documentation updates and revise PAML documentation as required. Producing check planning reports on all heavy maintenance checks. Co-ordinate facility wide manpower staffing levels to maintain and optimise manpower availability. Assist with planning current and future heavy maintenance projects. Implement new planning procedures and processes. Produce weekly and monthly KPI reports. Requirements Qualification in Engineering, Project Management or Planning. Planning background or strong technical background with a proven record of problem solving and results. Good organisational, analytical & time management skills essential. Excellent communication skills to liaise directly with supervisors and managers. Experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft suite and Trello advantageous. Work with a high level of individual responsibility. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a clean Garda Vetting Disclosure in order to work at the airport. Based in our Engineering building in Dublin and working in our Heavy Maintenance function, this is an excellent opportunity for an aviation professional to gain experience in Europe’s leading airline, working closely with Senior Management responsible for maintenance of over 600 aircraft. Responsibilities Carrying out independent reviews of technical standards of work accomplishment at contracted MRO organisations. Identifying opportunities for improvements both within the supplier processes and procedures and within the Ryanair interface agreement and other documentation. Identifying industry ‘best practice’ across the range of suppliers and driving continuous improvement across all Ryanair contracted heavy maintenance organisations. Managing customer audit findings and working with suppliers to ensure robust investigations, corrective and preventative actions are implemented and effective. Investigating safety reports, maintenance errors and potential errors as part of our SMS. Identifying trends in reports and taking appropriate action as required. Qualifications Will have worked as a senior mechanic or certifying staff in an airline engineering and/or aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation. Will have heavy/base maintenance experience with Boeing and/or Airbus aircraft types. Will have a solid working knowledge of EASA Part CAMO and Part 145 regulations. Will have completed a degree in an engineering subject or hold an EASA or UK Part 66 AML or equivalent technical experience.
