About the Role Senior Project Engineer - Water Services Flooding & Drainage, based in Dublin. Responsibilities Report to Line Manager / Business Unit Leader. Work as part of an integrated team to deliver high quality engineering services for our clients. About You Level 8 degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering or related discipline. A Level 9 Masters would be advantageous. Membership of a professional body such as Engineers Ireland or Institution of Civil Engineers. Desire to develop to Chartered Engineer Level. Project-focused, proactive and independent, with the ability to provide a supporting project management role. Proven ability to deliver projects and tasks to a high quality, on time and within budget. Experience in the design/delivery of flood risk assessment & management, flood defence infrastructure, surface water collection & management systems. Excellent working knowledge of flood hydrology and hydraulic processes. Experience in open channel and network hydraulic modelling (Infoworks ICM) and model applications to real-world problems. Ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations to communicate complex issues with robust justification of design decisions. Key Skills / Attributes Technical leadership for full hydraulic model output delivery. Competency in Infoworks ICM; experience with FloodModeller, Estry, TuFlow, HEC-RAS 1D/2D or similar is beneficial. Understanding of Flood Risk Management Methods, Nature-based Solutions, and catchment, river, and drainage processes. Ability to provide specialist hydraulic modelling advice to project teams. QA principles in hydraulic modelling to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose. Ability to apply hydraulic modelling outputs to design civil engineering elements to meet project objectives. Experience in economic appraisal (CBA and MCA) would be beneficial. A commitment to technical development and applying best-practice principles to innovative client solutions. Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects with engineering, planning and environmental professionals. Ability to work independently to support timely project delivery. Strong communication skills with clients, suppliers and colleagues. Organised, diligent, and professional approach to tasks.
