Job Title: People and Culture Partner
Reporting to: Head of People and Culture
Role type: Full Time based on 35 hours net per week
Annual leave: 29 Days annual leave per annum (including RIAM closure days)
Salary Scale: Appointment will be made at the Staff Officer Grade V Pay Scale, (€52,240 – €62,482pa)
Pension: Employer pension scheme with minimum employee pension contribution set at 5% of gross salary and employer contribution at 10% of gross salary.
Contract: Full time Permanent (subject to a 6-month probationary period)
Location: RIAM, 36 – 38 Westland Row, Dublin 2.
Start Date: As soon as possible
This role will offer flexibility for remote work in line with the organisational policy and on successful completion of the probation period.
Purpose of the Role
The People and Culture Partner will provide operational and administrative support to the People and Culture function in RIAM, ensuring smooth delivery of HR processes and initiatives. The role focuses on employee experience through effective internal communications, coordination of learning and development programmes, performance management systems and supporting culture and engagement activities.
Role Responsibilities
Coordinate learning and development programmes with managers and faculty, and support peer learning networks.
Lead the Performance Management process, guide managers on reviews and goal-setting, and help address performance matters.
Analyse performance data to support workforce planning and link outcomes to training needs.
Draft People and Culture communications and support engagement and culture-building initiatives.
Manage monthly payroll with the shared services provider.
Support HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, probation and Garda Vetting.
Assist with ER/IR matters, maintain GDPR‑compliant records and statutory reporting.
Help deliver wellbeing, inclusion and engagement activities and support staff surveys.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Relevant qualification in HR, Business Administration, or related discipline.
CIPD Membership or qualification (desirable).
Experience in coordinating learning and development programmes (essential).
Proven track record of managing a full Performance Management cycle (essential).
Experience in managing internal communications campaigns that enhance engagement and culture.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal communications.
Familiarity with Irish employment (essential) and public sector HR practices (desirable).
Proficiency in MS Office 365.
Knowledge of equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives in the Irish public sector (desirable).
Understanding of governance requirements in higher education institutions (desirable).
