  • Civil Engineer

    We are presently recruiting a Civil Engineer for our clients in Kerry. Working on road improvement projects in County Cork, you will be responsible for all aspects of delivery of projects within budget and on time. You will maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, reports, and progress updates, undertake surveys and coordinate and manage road construction and upgrade projects. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities: Design and Planning: Develop detailed engineering plans and specifications for road construction projects, considering factors such as traffic flow, environmental impact, and safety standards. Project Management: Coordinate and manage road construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Site Inspections: Conduct on-site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with engineering standards and specifications. Collaboration: Work closely with architects, surveyors, and other stakeholders to integrate road projects into overall infrastructure plans. Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment required for road construction projects. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations governing road construction. Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks and challenges associated with road projects. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the durability and longevity of constructed roads. Community Engagement: Communicate with local communities and address concerns related to road construction projects, fostering positive relationships. Innovation: Explore and implement innovative technologies and construction methods to enhance efficiency and sustainability in road projects. Qualifications and Experience: 3+ years post-graduate experience. Relevant industry experience is essential. Strong technical and design ability essential. Full driver’s licence will be required. The company uses insert injection moulding, silicone moulding, and automated assembly process to manufacture large volumes on a 24 / 7 basis. This is a fulltime, permanent position. Responsibilities: Oversee shift production output, ensuring compliance with company policies and product specifications. Maintain a safe work environment in line with company and Irish safety regulations. Possess a technical background (fitter/mechanic) with manufacturing experience; injection moulding knowledge preferred. Manage production machines: troubleshoot, fine-tune, fix breakdowns, and perform mold changeovers. Ensure high-quality, high-volume, low-cost production with tight margins. Supervise, motivate, and develop operatives; provide training and performance appraisals. Maximize output without compromising quality. Enforce hygiene and cleanroom standards. Plan and organize cost-effective production; ensure timely and accurate paperwork completion. Monitor product quality, reject levels, operator performance, and material availability. Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Be flexible and proactive in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
