    We are presently recruiting an Underwriting Manager for our clients in County Kerry. You will be responsible for leading and managing the underwriting function and will ensure that all lending decisions are made in line with company risk appetite, underwriting criteria, and regulatory requirements, including Central Bank obligations. This is a permanent position, based in office in Killarney. Responsibilities Lead, manage, and develop a team of underwriters. Set performance targets and ensure delivery against KPIs. Provide coaching, training, and continuous development for team members. Ensure underwriting decisions are aligned with company policies. Maintain and continuously review underwriting rules and credit policies. Approve or oversee complex or high-value lending decisions. Work closely with Risk and Compliance functions to ensure robust controls. Ensure all underwriting activities comply with Central Bank regulations and consumer protection requirements. Act as a key point of contact for regulatory matters relating to credit decisioning. Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal compliance checks. Maintain strong governance and documentation standards. Handle and resolve queries from dealers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
