The estate is creating a safe and structured setting for a range of animals, alongside a small number of carefully managed educational visits for children. This is not a public-facing farm, it is a private, controlled environment where quality of care and discretion are key.
Key Responsibilities
Daily care, feeding, and welfare management of mixed animals including Highland cattle, llama, ostrich, Sika deer, goats, ducks, and sheep
Maintain animal housing, paddocks, fencing, and overall farm organisation to a high standard
Support the introduction and integration of new animals in line with best practice
Monitor health and welfare, liaising with veterinary support where required
Ensure a clean, safe, and well‑managed environment at all times
Education & Interaction
Support a small number of structured visits for children within the estate
Explain animal care, behaviour, and welfare in a clear and engaging way
Ensure all interaction is calm, safe, and controlled
Requirements
Proven experience working with livestock or mixed animal environments
Strong understanding of animal welfare and practical husbandry
Calm, professional manner, comfortable in a private estate setting
Confident communicator, able to engage appropriately with small groups
Reliable, organised, and capable of working independently
