Overview
Engineering Inspector I/II – Soils role at Road Commission For Oakland County.
Responsibilities
Perform a broad range of construction related inspection activities to assure quality in road construction projects.
Inspects more difficult or extensive road projects dealing with soils, materials, construction, plans, standards, specifications and procedures.
Provides project coordination/direction to other inspectors as may be required.
Radiation safety & density technology certifications will be obtained within the first two years.
Must perform duties in a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County.
Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.
Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent with math training sufficient to calculate volume is required.
One to two years' experience in construction inspection, commensurate with the duties described above is required.
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Michigan Driver's License.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and possess a valid driver's license.
