We have huge ambitions and want people to join us on our quest to become a world-leading Web3 organisation About the Role We’re looking for a Head of Risk (PCF-14) based in our Dublin office to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of Ramp Ireland (Swaps) Ltd.’s risk management framework. This is a senior leadership role within the second line of defence. The role will collaborate extensively with a wide range of teams across the business, including Legal, Compliance, Operations, Product, Commercial, and Technology Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain an enterprise-wide risk management framework that identifies, measures, manages, and monitors all types of risk, including market, operational, and liquidity risks Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and global best practices in risk governance Lead the development and delivery of the enterprise-wide annual risk assessment, including scenario analysis and stress testing Policy Oversight and Governance Review and approve all risk management policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, including CBI requirements for PCF-14 functions Provide risk expertise and guidance to senior leadership and the Board, including preparation of regular management information (“MI”) and reports for governance forums Monitoring and Reporting Develop and oversee a risk monitoring programme and carry out periodic risk reviews and testing to ensure that employees and third parties meet the required standards in respect of applicable legislation and internal controls Ensuring timely identification and mitigation of emerging risks. Prepare and present comprehensive risk reports to the Board of Directors, Risk Committee, and external stakeholders as required Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with the Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure robust alignment between risk management and regulatory compliance objectives Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of proactive risk awareness and risk-informed decision-making Provide regular training and support in the area of risk management to the organisation Regulatory Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact for the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) on all risk management matters, ensuring effective communication and transparency Lead regulatory reviews and audits relating to the company’s risk management practices Qualifications The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in risk management within a regulated financial institution or similar environment, with demonstrated leadership in a PCF-14 role or equivalent Extensive experience (8+ years) in enterprise risk management in financial services, fintech, or crypto asset firms Proven track record of operating at a senior level within a second-line risk function Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus Relevant certifications such as PRMIA PRM, GARP FRM, or equivalent In-depth understanding of Irish and EU regulatory frameworks, including requirements set by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) Familiarity with virtual asset service provider (VASP) regulations and risk considerations Strong leadership and communication skills with experience engaging with Boards and senior stakeholders Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities High integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive information Genuine enthusiasm for fintech and crypto, with a forward‑looking minds Willingness to travel internationally as needed We are fueled by a strong sense of community, purpose, and the drive to build a sustainable business.
